Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Chicago Med, “Got a Friend in Me” – Maggie finally lets her friends in.

Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) decided that it was time to let her friends in on what has really been going on with her by revealing herself in a vulnerable way. After finally gaining the strength to let others in, she pulls her wig back in front of April (Yaya DaCosta) and the other two nurses. This moment was just heartbreaking, but also empowering because of how easily her friends just gravitated towards her for comfort without saying a word. It was a well-performed scene by these ladies. I hope that we get an episode in the future that really focuses on Maggie and this battle that she’s having with cancer. She isn’t shown being vulnerable when it comes to dealing with her own struggles and this would be an amazing way to show her complexities.

Comedy: Young Sheldon, “A Pineapple and the Bosom of Male Friendship” – George and  Dr. Sturgis have a heartfelt moment.

George (Lance Barber) and Dr. Sturgis (Wallace Shawn) taking a night out was more enjoyable to watch than I thought it was going to be. Dr. Sturgis’ toast to George was adorable. George is a sturdy character and seeing him crack a small smile at the heartfelt things on this show is always great. Shawn is fantastic as Dr. Sturgis and having him back on the show made me realize how much I missed him. His dynamic with Sheldon (Iain Armitage) and now George brought life to this episode. I hate that he and Meemaw (Annie Potts) are broken up, but hopefully this won’t be the last we see of him with the family.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Batwoman, “Down Down Down” – Kate dawns her official suit and gets her superhero name.

We can officially call Kate (Ruby Rose) by the title “Batwoman” now. She has the suit and the name has been spoken on the show! Sorry to say, but I was hating the suit without the red hair flowing out of it. The final moments of “Down Down Down” finally gave Batwoman her name – spoken by none other than Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy). Letting Sophie be the one to give Batwoman her name speaks volumes of her importance to Kate’s story. I loved this element so much. Both of these two official things happening in the same episode felt like it set the season up a little bit. I hope that we get to learn more of Sophie’s backstory because I’m already holding on to Sophie and Kate becoming an item again one day so that we can have more great moments like this.
