The episode opens with Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) and Titus (Tituss Burgess) watching outtakes from the Party Monster documentary. Titus wants her to stop watching until he realizes he is in the movie as a reenactment actor. Kimmy is confused as to why he is in it, but he says he didn’t ask many questions. He just put on the wig and did the role.

Kimmy is on hold with a company, singing along to the hold music when she realizes she is mad and stops singing. Lillian (Carol Kane) walks in with kugel. She made it for two, but realized Artie is dead and it is disgusting. She turns off Kimmy’s phone and tells her about comedy in the 70’s and how it helped her out.

Kimmy is worried about the documentary because she thinks people might see it as the truth. Her job calls, which upsets her because her boss wants her to go to Pittsburgh. She doesn’t want to go, but Lillian thinks it will be good for her. Kimmy tells Zach she will go and as she is getting ready Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) asks her for water. Kimmy reminds her that she does not work for her and walks away.

Titus and Jacqueline have a meeting about his next role and his script he needs to write. She finally tells him he is difficult to work with and if he doesn’t eat she doesn’t eat…or get Botox properly.

At the event in Pittsburgh, Kimmy accidentally shows a video of herself picking her nose when a guy approaches her, admitting he isn’t really a tech guy. The two flirt a bit. She says she is the face of the company and he gives her his business card. Lillian is also there, trying to flirt, but failing miserably…even flirting with a hologram.

Titus auditions for a role as a nerd, which gives him flashbacks of being a bully. Jacqueline tells him he can transform himself with this role.

Lillian and Kimmy are talking when Business Card Guy, Danford (Drew Gehling) waves to her, making Lillian happy because Kimmy is no longer thinking about the movie.

Titus goes around interviewing nerds as research for his role and ends up bonding with them.

Kimmy and her new friend go dancing and are about to kiss when the DJ recognizes her from the documentary and outs her as The Reverend’s wife. Danford admits he is also married and assumed she was into conference affairs. She tells him off, but he tells her nobody has to get hurt. She will have none of it and leaves.

Lillian is at the bar drinking when a man (Jason Jones) approaches her, leading to him inviting her to meet up later. Lillian thinks it is so the two can hook up, but it ends up being a “disrupting the paradigm” speech. She gives a speech about sex, which everyone seems to appreciate. She reminds them to put their phones down and start interfacing with one another. Kimmy sees Danford with another girl at the event and calls him out on his lies.

Titus’s nerd role is a success with his audience. The kids connect with his role and when Titus tries to parlay the production into a more sympathetic look at nerds the director fires him. The principal thinks Titus did a great job though at connecting with the kids and offers him a job as putting on the school play.

Kimmy and Lillian prepare to leave and discuss her former life as a mole woman. Kimmy now has plans to expose the evilness of The Reverend. We end with one of the nerds asking if he will ever see Lillian again.
