Children’s deaths continue to happen as the flu takes over. In the news it is informed that no survivors have been reported yet. Dr. Stearns (Rainn Wilson) and Dale (Tim Hopper) are witness of how Dale’s daughter Charlotte (Hadley Robinson) is getting worse every minute that passes by. Dale begs him to administrate the vaccine to his daughter so he could save her but Dr. Stearns tells him that he still needs to run some tests and make sure it actually works. After a while Dale finally manages to convince him and when the Dr. Stearns leaves to get the vaccine ready, Charlotte’s twin (Taylor Blim) enters the place and tells Dale that it’s time to “choose” so they get ready for their last meal. The two girls are sitting in front of a table filled with all sort of types of food that they discover for the first time. Dale watches them with anguish by not knowing their fate for sure. Dr. Christie (John Cusack) walks in and the two girls run towards him and hug him. They ask him to choose who will be sacrificing, so he plays a little game and chooses Charlotte who seems a little sad. He takes a quick sip of her champagne and then Dr. Christie puts something with a code printed in it in her mouth and the girl eats it.

The gang arrives to a new fancy home and Jessica (Sasha Lane) explains to the others that the family won’t be there for a while so they can stay. They are trying to make Grant (Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton) confess to where he left the rest of the manuscript and the kid finally says that he left it at a friend’s house. Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop) begins to have a seizure and only Ian (Dan Byrd) notices it. He follows her and embraces her trying to help her and they end up inside a bathtub while she is going through it.

Dr. Stearns administers the vaccine to Charlotte and asks Dale to wait at least 12 hours to see if it worked. He starts to ask some questions to Dale, but he doesn’t know what to answer. He asks him to give him some time with his daughter, so Dr. Stearns gives them some space. Right after Charlotte tells Dale that she is happy to sacrifice herself for a greater good and asks him to take the photo they need. It is done as she requests. Charlotte’s twin comes in and sees a very troubled Dale watching how Charlotte dies in front of his eyes. The other girl reminds him that he was in charge of raising them with a purpose and he was not supposed to be fond of them by any means.

Back to the gang, Ian reads a zodiac signs book to Becky and makes some jokes trying to make her feel better. The girl gets serious and tells him that now that he knows how it is he should know that it is not easy to have her disease. She encourages him to move on from her, but Ian refuses to leave her and assures her they will find a cure for it. They join the others at the living room and Jessica gets mad at them for disappearing just like that assuming they went to have sex. She offers some liquor to Becky and tells her to drink only once per hour. Suddenly, the news comes up and it is announced that Grant has committed murdered and the police are searching for him.

Back at the quarantine response center Charlotte has died so her twin comes in and pretends to be her. She cuts her sister’s braid and gives it to Dale for him to remember her. Grant cannot believe what he is seeing and promises them that he didn’t do it. Jessica assures him she knows it was not him and lets them know that is the way the “Harvest” works – they frame them and then they kill their families and friends something that makes Ian head to the computer and search for his family. He realizes that they were poisoned and now they’re in a critical condition. Wilson (Desmin Borges) does the same and gets hysterical when he realizes that his entire family was murdered and lashes out at Jessica for lying to him for two days saying otherwise. Before Becky takes a look Jessica steals the computer away from her. Ian asks her if she is okay she says yes and Wilson believes that she might be one of their enemies since coincidentally she didn’t lose anyone, but the girl confesses him that she has no family they could kill. They try to calm him down and Jessica keeps questioning Grant about Alice’s whereabouts, but the kid says that he doesn’t know the name of the streets and the only way to help her is to go with her so that way he could remember. The woman gives him new clothes and teaches him how to use a razor in case he needs it.

Dr. Christie confesses to Thomas (Cory Michael Smith) how he feels about having to kill Cara (Fiona Dourif) after everything they went through. Thomas says that at least she had a purposeful death. Dr. Christie tells him that he was supposed to be a twin but the other one was not strong enough to survive in the womb and only he made it. Thomas lets him know that the others have started to talk and believe that being his only biological child has kept him from being sacrificed and he doesn’t want that.

Back to the center Dale is still concerned about Charlotte’s death and her twin asks him a couple of times: “What did you do today to earn your place in this crowded world?” Dale’s answer is the same, full of regret about killing his daughter. Then, the girl asks again until he answers that what he did was to save the future. Dr. Stearns walks in and is surprised to see that the girl is no longer sick and feeling better than ever. He takes some blood samples from her and goes to analyze it. He calls Colleen (Jeanine Serralles) to tell her what he has done and then he finds out that the blood results came out 100% free of the virus. He begins to yell and celebrate with his wife. He goes back to Dale and the man pretends to be surprised and takes his daughter out while yelling that Dr. Stearns has cured his daughter. He has the vaccine! He goes out of the center and in front of the people where he steals a microphone and announces the good news to everyone. He then asks his daughter to say some words and she says that she was cured by the vaccine and doesn’t want to be the only one. The whole crowd cheers out of happiness. In the meantime, Alice (Farrah Mackenzie) and Kim (Crystal Fox) watch the news report where Grant is accused of murdering an entire family and they decide to call the police.

At the center Toni Tambler (Gloria Coco) from the FDA arrives and asks to talk with Dr. Stearns to convince him of having the vaccine go through the regular protocol before releasing it, but he is now convinced that the vaccine doesn’t need to be tested anymore. The crowd goes wild and believe that Toni is the enemy. Thomas and Dr. Christie are still watching what is happening on the TV and decide it’s time to execute their next move. Thomas makes a call and asks to send the shipping order 2472.

Jessica and Grant are on the street heading to Alice’s home when a cop (John Gawlik) sees the boy and follows them, but they manage to escape by entering a bar and pretend to be playing videogames. Arby (Christopher Denham) is in his room watching cartoons and eating when he receives the police signal that Grant has been spotted in the street. He immediately takes his stuff and leaves the place. Dr. Christie arrives at the quarantine center and everybody claps at him. He congratulates Dr. Stearns and says that since he has always tried to help the children and that his laboratories have started to produce the vaccine so it can be available for everyone. He begs the FDA to approve it. He bends on his knees and begs her and the crowd does the same, even Dr. Stearns. Officer Garland (Loren Ashley Jones) and Detective (Brandon Loeser) show up at Alice’s house and question Kim about Grant. Then, the doorbell rings and Officer Tuttle (Chris McClure) from the juvenile services shows up to talk to Kim. However, he is shot from behind as well as the other two inside. Arby has arrived and demands Kim to tell him where Jessica, the kid and “Utopia” are but the woman has no idea to what he refers to. Alice tells him that she has the manuscript and goes to her room to pick it up. She hands it to Arby and he kills Kim right there. Alice begins to cry and the man asks her to be quiet. When the kid does he asks her to go with him. He makes some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grabs some snacks and packs them all. He asks Alice to wait patiently for Grant to arrive. Finally, Grant and Jessica enter the little girl’s house and see all the bodies lying there. Grant calls for Alice, but Jessica stops him. She then meets with Arby and they begin to fight. Arby disarms her and tells her that he always wins. He says his mission is to take her with him to “Home,” but he doesn’t want to do that anymore. Grant runs to Alice and hugs her. Meanwhile, Arby gives the manuscript to Jessica and tells her that she won’t like what she will see in there and recommends her to eat something first. He takes the bullets out of a gun and tells her that if she needs him he would be back at “Home” and leaves.

Later on a lot of cages packed with bunnies are loaded into a truck. When the door closes, we can see that it says: “Order 2472” on it.
