WHY SHOULD I WATCH?

Just when newly single suburban mom Paula Wheeler (Adria Tennor) thinks her life can’t get any worse the seemingly impossible happens. Already struggling with her confidence after her husband leaves her for another woman, she’s utterly embarrassed when her card gets declined during a shopping spree. She still works for her husband, a store owner yelled at her in front of all her friends and she’s very clearly mid-emotional crisis. This has to be her rock bottom, doesn’t it? There is no way things can get worse. Well, they do. Sort of. In the midst of giving herself a much-needed pep talk, she’s abducted by a dog masked literature fan.

For a kidnapper Paula’s abductor has strange but fairly tame requests considering he has her read aloud dressed in furs Betty Rubble would envy. Instead of letting this completely destroy her, Paula uses it as inspiration to change her life and decides to fully tap into the world of fetishes. She uses her traumatic event as a catalyst to regain control and uses the experience for her benefit.

The pure originality of the series immediately drew me in. This isn’t your typical web show. And I mean that in the best way possible. Labeled as “Weeds only with fetish fulfillment” feels like a spot-on comparison. Will Paula turn her videos into a full-blown empire? She’s vulnerable and sweet now, making it so easy to root for her and I can’t wait to see her confidence grow as she gets more into this new avenue of business.

The series co-stars Tiffany Jeneen, who already had me laughing out loud in the first episode, and Allison Munn, who I’ve adored since her days on “What I Like About You.” I already expect their supporting roles to be highlights of the series and I’m excited to see more of them and their reaction to Paula’s new endeavor.
