Web Series Wednesday – I Can’t Even.

Why Should I Watch? I Can’t Even. is a six-episode series following two roommates, Lex and Em, and an endless amount of fandoms. If the Buffy-themed trailer doesn’t get you from the start, the first episode, ‘Hogwarts Forgot My Letter,’ surely will. The series takes on some of the most popular fandoms, from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and more. Every episode is guaranteed to fill you with laughs as Lex and Em fight for dominance over which side of their favorites fandom is best, not to mention some hilarious puns as well, case in point, episode 5, ‘Peeta Bread.’

I’ve seen a lot of web series, but I Can’t Even. really stands out as it hits close to home to this fangirl. Nerdiness aside, the rapport between Louise and Tiana would lead any viewer to believe they really are roommates. Add on the witty one-liners and quick banter and you’ll find yourself re-watching the series in search of pop culture references you may have missed the first time around.

There isn’t word yet on if the Australian web series will be brought back for a second season but one can only hope as there are still more fandoms to explore and of course argue over!
