What To Watch This Week

Monday:

Supergirl: Usually, I recommend two television shows a night. This week will have a number of exceptions, starting with tonight! Tonight’s “Supergirl” episode is epic as it marks the crossover with “The Flash.” Not only is it supersized because of the double action duo helping to save National City, but it marks a network crossover as well. Can Barry Allen a/k/a/ The Flash help Kara Danvers a/k/a/ Supergirl team up and take down Livewire and Silver Banshee? We shall see… (CBS, 8pm ET/PT)

Tuesday:

Faking It: Heading back to Hester High, we find our saucy students still sizzling. Liam has been dumped by his girlfriend for still having feelings for Karma. Amy teams up with Lauren because she thinks Karma is still playing games with her heart. Shane is stuck in the middle between the two after having spent the summer bonding with Karma, but is still allied with Amy. When did high school get so complicated? (MTV, 10:30pm ET/PT)

Wednesday:

Empire: The Lyon family is back and boy have we missed them! Combining music, drama, violence and viciousness we return to where we left off on this incredible series. We left off with Rhonda taking a fall and Camilla has her sights on ruling the Lyon’s legacy. We can expect some serious sass from a bitter Cookie, Jamal’s going to have something to sing about, Lucious must have some tricks up his sleeve, Hakeem will try to handle his former honey and Andre will be right by his wife’s side. Tune in to hear the music and stay for the suspense. (FOX, 8pm/PT)

Thursday:

The Big Bang Theory: Amy buys Sheldon a new laptop only to be rocked by a revelation. Meanwhile, Leonard and Wolowitz find themselves in hot water with their wives when Koothrappali sells them out to their spouses for lying in order to sneak into an early screening of a movie. (CBS, 8pm ET/PT)

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Sara, Kendra and Ray get stranded in the 50’s when the Waverider takes off without them. Professor Stein attempts to come up with a plan to save the team as Rip vows to get the band back together or die trying. (CW, 8pm ET/PT)

Friday:

Vampire Diaries: Stefan learns that the only way to save his brother is to let him go when Damon seeks to have Stefan’s scar magically transferred to him. Enzo wonders why Rayna has her sights set on them and Matt points him in Damon’s direction. With rumors that this may be Ian Somerhalder’s last season of the show, maybe this is the beginning of the end. (CW, 8pm ET/PT)

Saturday:

Saturday Night Live: Peter Dinklage hosts “Saturday Night Live” with musical guest Gwen Stefani. I think that’s the only hook you’ll need to hear to get you to tune in to this week’s new episode. Be prepared for plenty of “Game of Thrones” references (Could there be a skit where Gwen plays Khaleesi?) and maybe some appearance by Gwen’s beau Blake Shelton. We’ll all just have to watch and see if winter comes… (NBC, 11:30pm ET/PT)

Sunday:

Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion: It’s Part 3 of this ruckus reunion so be prepared for the tea to spill. This episode marks the return of NeNe [Leakes] who will have plenty of opinions and gossip to give us. Also, the husbands/boyfriends show up and stir the pot. Be ready for some big reveals and some ferocious feuds! (Bravo, 8pm ET/PT)

Real Housewives of Potomac: That’s a wrap! Season 1 of this new series comes to an end. Newbie Ashley is still trying to defend her marriage to oddball Michael and Katie is eager for an engagement ring from Andrew. Karen bids her daughter goodbye as she heads off to college. Robyn must decide if she’s ready to jump back into something serious with ex-husband Juan. You’ll have to see what is in store to decide if you’re ready for another season of their petty nonsense. (Bravo, 9pm ET/PT)

The Walking Dead: Death. It’s a big part of this series. As of now, two lives remain up for grabs. Will we see the loss of Daryl or Carol? Hopefully, neither has to lose their lives. We’ve also just heard the words we’ve waited all season to hear: “Hi, I’m Negan.” With a n extended finale (it is an hour and a half long) we have to wait and see who dies and who walks away… (AMC, 9pm ET/PT)
