What To Watch This Week

Sunday:

9-1-1 – Season Two starts off shaky thanks to an earth quake! That’s where we’re introduced to a brand-new character, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is the 9-1-1 operator we’ll be following this season. As temperatures around the city heat up, LA residents get all shook up. (FOX, 8pm ET/PT)

Kidding – Jeff is struggling to find his footing post heartbreak. Deirdre must come to terms with her daughter’s medical condition. Plus, Seb works to figure out the future of “Mr. Pickles’ Puppet Time” without Jeff as host. (Showtime, 10pm ET/PT)

 

Monday:

Magnum P.I. – Right off the bat, you are warned there are no mustaches involved in this series reboot. For those not familiar with the original, we follow security consultant and P.I. Magnum as he investigates crime scenes around the state of Hawaii. (CBS, 9pm ET/PT)

Manifest – Imagine that you have gone on a nice and quiet vacation and are now ready to return home. What happens when you land and find out that you’ve actually been gone for five years and you haven’t even aged a day…Find out tonight. (NBC, 10pm ET/PT)

 

Tuesday:

This is Us – The big three are back! Kate, Kevin and Randall find themselves celebrating their 38th birthday…each at brand new (good/bad) places in their lives. (NBC, 9pm ET/PT)

FBI – When we meet New York FBI agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adon Zidan they are investigating a bomb that has gone off in a residential apartment building. They are tasked with investigating a gang war to see who is truly responsible for the explosion, but things go awry when one of their prime suspects is murdered. (CBS, 9pm ET/PT)

New Amsterdam – In the trend of doctor themed series, we are introduced to Dr. Max Goodwin. This show sets itself from other medical dramas as Goodwin is the medical director seeks to put bureaucracy aside and seriously focus on patient care – not taking “no” for an answer. (NBC, 10pm ET/PT)

 

Wednesday:

The Goldbergs – It may still be the Bev-alution, but it’s a John Hughes kind of night! In the season premiere we follow a Sixteen Candles themed episode where Beverly and Murray have forgotten that it is Adam’s 16th birthday. Please let this not involve seeing Beverly’s panties. (ABC, 8pm ET/PT)

A Million Little Things – Touted as “ABC’s answer to ‘This Is Us,’” we meet a band of four pals who have stuck together throughout the years. Unfortunately, one of them dies – leaving a whole in the group and the guys wondering what they could have done differently. (ABC, 10pm ET/PT

 

Thursday:

The Good Place – Welcome to Earth! Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason find themselves back on solid ground and out of the heavens. This season Michael plays mentor in making them better people rather than a thorn in their side. (NBC, 8pm ET/PT)

Murphy Brown – Murphy’s back and as brass as ever! After taking herself out of a brief retirement, she finds herself in a millennial world with social media, 24-hour cable, media members criticized and politics in an entirely new perspective. Murphy hopes she can return to the news scene and set herself apart from her peers by returning to honest journalism. (CBS, 9:30pm ET/PT)

 

Friday:

Last Man Standing – The season premiere of the series kicks off tonight on a new network! Mike Baxter is back though still battling being the only male in his house. Let’s see how he navigates his new surroundings. (FOX, 8pm ET/PT)

The Cool Kids – Hank and his pals live in a retirement community, but they don’t consider their lives coming to an end by any means! Follow them on their weekly adventures to see what hijinks this dynamic foursome gets into. (FOX, 8:30pm ET/PT)
