What To Watch This Week

Monday:

Roots: Many of you are too young to be familiar with the original airing of this show that highlights the history of slavery. So, you’ll want to spend some time tuning in to watch this incredible remake of such a powerful program. (History, 9pm ET/PT)

Kids BBQ Championship: It’s a battle of the ages – literally. These kids take on a BBQ challenge week after to week to see which young one can claim the helm as the youngest BBQ baddy. Hosted by Camilla Alves (Why? I don’t know.) and Food Network Star winner Eddie Jackson, catch this kids grilling some goodness! (Food Network, 9pm ET/PT)

Tuesday:

America’s Got Talent: It’s back and it’s got the baddest bad boy around front and center. This season is out with Howard Stern and in with Simon Cowell. We’ll be watching acts that surprise, shock, tickle and torment us and we’re looking forward to seeing Simon serve up his infamous venom. Be ready because the boy is back in town! (NBC, 8pm ET/PT)

Maya & Marty: Hilarious comedy legends Maya Rudolph and Martin Short take on primetime TV with their version of a variety show. Tonight is the premiere and they’ll be adding Kenan Thompson to their silly business. Let’s see if this series can tickle our funny bones or if we’d rather watch Carol Burnett Show repeats. (NBC, 10pm ET/PT)

Wednesday:

Masterchef: It’s the season premiere of one of our favorite cooking competitions! Home cooks and talented chefs compete for aprons to be able to walk into the Masterchef kitchen where they will be mentored by cooking icons like Gordan Ramsay, Graham Elliott and Christina Tossi.

Real Housewives of New York: Drama, they name is Dorinda! We find the ladies on a winter vacation at Dorinda’s home in the Berkshires. Not inviting Sonja starts the pot stirring the minute Betheny walks in the door. This leads to an all out war of words between Betheny and LouAnne that sends Dorinda into the perfect storm of pissed off. Hunker down, it’s going to be a long night. (Bravo, 9pm ET/PT)

Thursday:

Beauty & The Beast: Beasties, your show is back! In the season premiere, we find Vincent and Cat enjoying wedded bliss when it all comes to a halt thanks to J.T. Unfortunately, someone seems to be trying to expose the identities of beasts. Uh oh. Let’s see who can keep a secret… (The CW, 9pm ET/PT)

Sunday:

2016 Miss USA: Live from Las Vegas we crown a brand new Miss USA 2016. Sure, we are excited to see the glitz and gowns. Yes, we want to hear the girls stumble through the questions asked by the judges. Most of all, we just want to hear the host say the right name when it comes to the winner. (Fox, 8pm ET/PT)
