Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Raw, emotional, melodic.

Q) Who have been some of your musical influences?

A) Kings Of Leon, The Lumineers, Noah Cyrus, Jack Kays and Max Martin.

Q) Tell us a little bit about “Can’t Let Go” and how it came to be. What was the inspiration behind it?

A) Wrote that one a while back with Peter Fenn and it recently resurfaced into the mix. I wrote it at that time when I was moving across the world and it’s about dealing with a relationship at that time.

Q) “Can’t Let Go” follows such amazing tracks such as “Letting Me Down” and “Harmless,” when you create the song, do you often find yourself with the message first or does the message find you after you’ve already started laying out the track?

A) My songs always start with a feeling. The mood usually dictates the direction and then the message typically comes after.

Q) The music video for “Can’t Let Go” was simply beautiful. Everything about it was very homey but cinematic, what was the thought process like crafting the video?

A) We didn’t want to do anything crazy. We just wanted the video to feel natural and fit the feeling of the song. I feel like we did a good job of capturing the way that song feels.

Q) How does the music video help support the message of the song?

A) For me, feeling and message are very different. In this case the music video fits the feeling of the song, but we didn’t really go for a narrative based video. We focused more on the raw emotion in the performance.

Q) Talk about the meaning behind your new single “Fall Apart.”

A) This song is really about overthinking the past and picking apart the way everything happened and wishing you could go back and do things differently.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that will resonate with your fans?

A) My hope is that fans will resonate with the emotion in the song and connect through their own life experiences.

Q) With “Can’t Let Go” and “Fall Apart” out now, will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, I am working on wrapping up a new project at the moment that I plan on dropping at the end of this year.

Q) Who are some artists that you would love to collaborate with on a song?

A) Noah Cyrus

Q) When you stop and think about your music and the legacy you want to leave, what does that look like?

A) All the music that I love to listen to has lasted for a very long time. I just want my music to be able to do the same.

Q) What would you like to say to fans and supporters of your work?

A) Come see me on tour Oct 14 – Nov 16th.
