Q) Your music is described as “country” but how would you describe your sound?

A) I would like to think of my music as country in its entirety. I feel it’s what country is supposed to sound like when it did in the 80’s – early 2000’s.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Cody Johnson, Travis Tritt and Randy Rogers

Q) Your debut EP Crazy is out now. What was it about the single off it that inspired you to use it for the title as well?

A) I think “Crazy” had the most power and relatable message behind it. Plus, just the name itself gets your wheels turning.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I usually come up with one-liners and ideas way before the music gets implemented. I jot them down and go from there depending on the vibe.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A)  With this project, I was there every step of the way. I write all of my own songs. but this time I was able to be in the studio for the tedious stuff.

Q) Of the four tracks on the EP, which song(s) hold a special place in your heart and why? I have to say, I love “Play it Pretty for Abilene.”

A) “Abilene” was definitely a labor of love. Being on the road, you meet some amazing people who are only there for a short amount of time. I feel people can easily relate to that.

Q) What songs off your EP are you looking forward to performing live?

A) “Crazy” and “Alcohol Talked Me Into It” are absolutely fun to play. One has so much energy and the other is just the definition of “Honkytonk” and we love that.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your new EP as a whole?

A) No matter who you are or where you’re at, someone out there feels the same as you in some way.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Florabama has to be the top of the list because it’s one of the last few Honkytonks and they really care about the music.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Either Adam Hood or Randy Rogers

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Randy Rogers has that traditional country sound that I feel like I’m finally getting to.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Without you guys, I’d literally be homeless so thank you and I hope you continue the support.
