Wynonna Earp – Crazy

The episode starts with a boxing session between Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Nicole (Kat Barrell). Nicole makes a joke about Wynonna´s drinking and they go at it, so she fights dirty and punches her boobs. Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) walks in while Nicole´s on the floor. To her surprise the Earp sisters tricked her to get her out of the homestead and into the sheriff´s office. However, Purgatory´s residents did not vote for her, so they don’t get her says Nicole. The next thing we see is a dead body on the trash discovered by a werewolf.

Nicole´s trying to get some beer at Shorty´s. Nedley (Greg Lawson) comes in and says, “Hands off. Only active-duty police drink for free at my Shorty’s.” Nicole says that she does not have time to be sheriff. She explains that she has Rachel (Martina Ortiz-Luis) and she´s a full time job. Nedley tells her that she released her reaper boyfriend from the basement and Nicole had no idea.

Back at the sheriff´s office the place is packed with citizens with weird issues and asking for Sheriff Clayborn (Ty Olsson), but Wynonna is trying to make it look like everything´s good until Jeremy (Varun Saranga) walks in an apron covered in blood. They try talking in code but fail. So, he just takes them to the body he´s working on. Waverly asks if there was to be a morgue, but apparently it was taken over by rats. Anyway, the winner from Shorty´s trivia was killed. They think it may have been Doc (Tim Rozon) because they see some bite marks on the neck. Wynonna walks in The Glory Hole and tries to get Doc to admit that he killed again. However, he found a morally sound way to fill his needs so he´s not the one that she´s looking for. She does not believe it completely and asks everyone at the bar if they know something.

Back at Shorty´s Nicole is waiting for Rachel, so she asks her about Billy (Billy Bryk). Then, she mentions something about a chicken kicker? She immediately regrets it though as she promised not to mention it ever. We later find out what that means, but we´ll come back to it. Waverly and Jeremy find out that the bodies do not have a brain. A guy named Doug Warner (Ennis Esmer), now known as Kuru, is eating them to be the smartest person in town. Waverly and Jeremy are discussing if he´s a demon or a human.

Wynonna and Waverly go to pay him a visit and they find a girl named Ginny (Nikky Duval) whom they think is in an abusive relationship with this guy. However, it just turns out to be an actual genie and Kuru is her master. So, she has to make every one of his wishes true. He´s making her kill all the smart people in town so he can be the smartest guy. Wynonna bonds with Ginny over love stories, but gets distracted for a minute and Doug´s already inside the cell. Apparently, he wished to be able to walk through walls. He´s after street smarts, so he takes Wynonna.

Back at the homestead Waverly is trying to get the brain off her shirt and Nicole is ready to plan a takedown against Kuru. Nicole is still trying to recover from being all by herself for the last eighteen months and Waverly tells her that her ambition is what makes her who she is. Nicole deflects again and walks out, but still manages to go to Shorty´s for trivia night. Although, she´s very nervous. When she tries to leave it is practically impossible because of the wish. As soon as someone sees her, they call her “chicken kicker.”

Trivia night gets intense as Waverly, Jeremy and Doc are killing it. They then realize that Wynonna´s in danger, but the gang cannot leave trivia. It´s all a part of the wish! Nicole and Doc realize they are basically trapped. She comes up with a plan that may end her dignity, so she asks Rachel for her phone to plug in the chicken kicker video to everyone at the bar – including those whom had not seen it. This takes us to the video where we can see her entering the sheriff´s office drunk and throwing the food on the table and, of course, kicking the chicken on it as well. Doc can now leave and runs, but before Kuru can finish the job on Wynonna he drops to the floor dead.

Nicole and Doc finally address the fact that she was going to trade him to the Clantons to bring Waverly back. She apologizes and he understands, so he asks her to tell the town what she´s thinking. This turns into a beautiful speech about how we all do things we regret. She will still be their sheriff and protect all of them. Thankfully, she´s reinstated as sheriff.

At the end of the episode Wynonna goes to Ginny. She says that she´s too powerful a weapon as that much choice can drive anyone insane. Wynonna she shoots her with Peacemaker and says, “You´re free.”
