Wynonna Earp – Life Turned Her That Way

The episode starts with a montage of Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) shooting demons left and right, all while drinking and passing out until she loses Peacemaker eventually. She goes to the kitchen where Nicole (Kat Barrell) and Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) are sitting there already, doing what looks like an intervention. It seems they took Peacemaker from her. They are worried about Wynonna as she´s been drinking and not sleeping, but she doesn´t want to hear it and storms out. Waverly goes after her, which leads to a fight between the Earp sisters. Waverly thinks Wynonna likes killing a little too much and that she seems lonely and sad, but nothing is resolved. A sad Waverly goes to Nicole´s arms.

Waverly calls Doc (Tim Rozon) and asks him to meet at their place, so he brings the book she took from the garden. We find out that he chose the book with her name on it. However, they get interrupted by a pair of demons, Dallas (Samuel Hoeksema) and Remy (Ben Wong), that went out hunting. They are after Waverly, but she starts running. The demons are intercepted by BBD and are taken in along with Doc. Waverly is able to run from them but goes directly into the border fog into a cabin with a familiar face inside. Jolene (Zoie Palmer) takes her hostage.

So, Wynonna is still going at it training while Rachel (Martina Ortiz-Luis) walks in, apologizing for the intervention earlier. Rachel asks Wynonna to train her as she wants to be able to defend herself. She asks to be taught by her to be like her. They go to the woods, but Wynonna sees a blood trail which leaves them to one of the demons that BBD did not take, Remy. He tells them they took Doc and Dallas and that the fog swallowed Waverly up. Next thing we see at BBD is Cleo (Savannah Basley) asking for some sort of permit to leave, all while Billy (Billy Bryk) is right next to her.

Back at Jolene´s she has Waverly tied up and tries to get a reaction from her by slapping her. Jolene insists that she wants to help her because demons are just fallen angels and Waverly is one of them. However, Waverly refuses to believe that they´re sisters. Meanwhile, Wynonna, Nicole and Rachel are trying to figure out how to save her. They bring in Casey (Andrew Phung) as he is the only fog expert they know. Apparently, he can only take one of them with him, so Nicole and Wynonna get into that discussion. The sister versus the future wife argument happens, but Nicole is putting her foot down. It is her turn as she stayed alone for eighteen months last time they had to save Waverly. She does not want to do that again. So, she goes with Casey.

Jolene is still trying to get into Waverly´s head. She has a full wall with marks on it, like counting days, yet it turns out to be how many demons and occasionally people Wynonna has killed all while Waverly refused to be the hero. Now, she drinks herself to sleep every single night. Nicole and Casey go into the fog. They´re communicating through radio as they see the cabin and Waverly tied up. When Casey goes to untie her the signal breaks and they lose contact for a moment. Nicole manages to tell Wynonna that is Jolene t also there, so Rachel pulls the wire. It seems it is only Casey and he´s dead.

Waverly manages to break free and tries to fight off Jolene. She pushes her into the wall; however, Jolene hurts her back cutting her back and pulling a black feather out. Back at BBD´s jail where they´re taking Doc he finds Jeremy (Varun Saranga) in the same cell as he’s been put in while trying to escape.

Wynonna realizes that she needs Jeremy, so she goes to BBD asking for help. She´s received by General Graham (Stafford Perry) – the same guy that took the demons and humans prisoners. He asks her to join his personal army. Apparently, they are planning to leave the citizens to be consumed by the fog. She´s taken to Jeremy and Doc and is given the choice to release one of them. She chooses Cleo instead, who was at the back of the cell. She vows to come back for them, but needs her more as she´s the Clanton heir and has control over the reapers. Wynonna asks her to try the spell and mark Jolene. In she goes. She gets to Waverly, but before they can leave Jolene takes her out of the cabin into the fog. And this is what brakes Waverly. We see her finally embracing her angel side. First, we only see a glimpse, her eyes go dark and she kills Jolene.

Back at the BBD cell another familiar face returns. Mercedes (Dani Kind) was hidden in the shadows for hours and found a BBD badge. She says that Jeremy fixing the wire is a nerd talent. He tries and is able to open the cell, but General Graham stops them from leaving. Mercedes tries to deal with him but she´s shot.

At the end of the episode Wynonna barely makes it out of the fog when she sees Waverly walk in towards her in her full angel form, wings out and everything. She says, “Your journey is over Wynonna. Mine has just began.”
