Wynonna Earp – Old Souls

The last episode starts with a flashback of Purgatory from the summer of 1968 to a wedding massacre, the bride (Val Duncan) has killed everyone, including herself, because of the dress she was wearing (which is the same that Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) bought at an antique store). Preparations are going on. Nicole (Katherine Barrell) and Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) are getting the flowers and the cake ready, which apparently is not vegan and has the sister-in-law freaking out. Nedley (Greg Lawson) is getting ready to take Rachel (Martina Ortiz-Luis) on a fishing trip.

Wynonna is at the barn and something takes over because as soon as she wears the dress everything turns into flames and the cake explodes. She can not get it off, so she goes to Doc (Tim Rozon) for help. He suggests to cut a side of the dress and sew it back together, but the threads are not breaking. And just in time Waverly arrives while running an errand. She gives Doc saddle that belonged to Wyatt and asks him to be her best man. He says yes and asks her where she bought the dress. She replies at a vintage store called Cursey´s. They go in and don´t see anyone at first until Wynonna stumbles with someone that looks like a mannequin.

Doc and Wynonna threaten to shoot her if she does not take Waverly´s gown off her, but instead Brigitte (Charlotte Sullivan) – the employee – starts singing and says that only silkworm can take it off. So, they go to look for the bugs. Doc goes into the lake while Wynonna finds a note in his jacket. It seems that he was leaving and was going to tell her in a note or that´s what she thinks. Doc asks her to come with him and to be brave. Wynonna says they don´t have time for that.

Back at the homestead, Jeremy (Varun Saranga) and Nicole are going through the disaster Wynonna left behind. He accuses the caterer named Damon (Tenaj Williams). Nicole and Waverly are trying to figure out who the demon is and are able to figure out her name and why she´s cursed the dress, making every bride that wears it kill everyone at the wedding – including the groom and herself with an axe. Apparently, Brigitte was left at the altar and this is her revenge.

Jeremy goes to the barn and finds Nicole and Waverly in a sexy situation. They tell him the wedding dress is cursed while he thinks it was Damon who was a demon. She goes to Doc and Wynonna, but fake silkworms do not trick the witch. However, just in time Waverly arrives with actual silkworks and a spell to immobilize her. Now, Waverly has to do some modifications to Mama Earp´s dress, which is the one she´s wearing one.

Nicole asks Nedley to walk her down the aisle and so he does. Wynonna does the same for Waverly. By the way, Jeremy is officiating. They say their vows and then they are now married. Rachel gives them a little present, a singing present! She performs a cover of “Wildwood” by Fleurie, which was also played during their first kissing scene back in Season 1. Wynonna gives a little speech as well. Rachel asks Nedley if Billy (Billy Bryk) can come to the fishing trip with them. And Doc says goodbye to the gang. Jeremy goes to apologize to Damon and manages to get a date with him. He gets interrupted by a call from BBD as they officially make him Deputy Chief Chetri.

Wynonna tells everybody that she said no to going with Doc and they are all shocked. That is until Waverly comes out of the house and grabs her by the ear, asking how they can let Wynonna mess up her life again – for all of them. She takes her to the barn and starts packing some of her underwear in a plastic bag. But Waverly is not having it. She tells Wynonna that she´s not the only one that can handle the Ghost River Triangle, so she convinces her to go with Doc. They hug but everything goes wrong as the car is not starting and they know Doc´s almost at the border thanks to a tracking device Jeremy installed on his phone. So, Wynonna takes her bike and goes after him, shooting the tires. Wynonna asks Doc for a pit stop in Miracles, Montana, which is where Alice is living. Returning to the homestead, with Nicole and Waverly, they are the last scene as they are both home.
