Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as a unique blend of oriental influences with a deep sense of soulfulness, authenticity and strength. It draws from traditional western elements, creating a rich cultural texture while also grounding itself in raw and emotional storytelling.

Q) Who are some artists that have inspired you throughout your life?

A) Artists like Ariana Grande, Aretha Franklin, RAYE and Billie Eilish have deeply inspired me throughout my life, each contributing unique vocal qualities and artistic presence that resonate with me on a personal level. Ariana Grande’s voice is known for its ethereal range and effortless agility, blending sweetness with power. Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, brings a raw emotive strength to her voice that transcends generations. Her deep, soulful tone and impeccable control speak to a truth and authenticity I strive to capture in my own music. RAYE’s sultry, powerful voice carries a blend of soul, pop, and R&B that feels modern yet timeless. Her music often tackles personal and emotional subjects, and I deeply relate to the honesty in her bold lyrics. Billie Eilish brings something entirely different with her whispery haunting vocals that captivate in their subtlety. Her music is deeply introspective, and I connect with her ability to explore darker themes with such grace and artistry. Each of these artists have shaped my own sound and approach to performance, giving me a deeper connection to my own authenticity and confidence.

Q) This is a wonderful debut single “Habibi (My Baby).” What made you want this to be the introduction to yourself as an artist?

A) “Habibi (My Baby)” felt like the perfect introduction to me as an artist because it embodies so much of who I am musically and emotionally. The song blends oriental influences with a soulful, authentic depth, which is a core part of my sound. It’s a reflection of my roots and my personal experiences and I wanted my debut to be something that truly represents my identity. The title itself, “Habibi,” which means “my love” or “my baby” in Arabic, captures a sense of intimacy and connection, which is at the heart of the music I create

Q) I know this single was inspired largely by your own experiences. Was it healing to be able to express those feelings through song?

A) Absolutely, writing “Habibi (My Baby)” was incredibly healing for me. Music has always been a way for me to process my emotions, and this song allowed me to express feelings that were difficult to put into words in any other way. The themes of love, vulnerability and resilience in the song come directly from my own experiences and translating those raw emotions into music gave me a sense of release. It was almost like taking something painful or complex and transforming it into something beautiful and meaningful.

Q) In the video as you walk you throw/leave behind photos which of course is metaphorical to the relationship. Were those real photos that held meaning to you?

A) While the photos in the video symbolize the memories of the relationship, they aren’t of me or anyone from my personal life. However, I can deeply relate to the emotions they represent. Each photo reflects a moment in time, a connection or a feeling that may have once meant everything but now needs to be left behind.

Q) Also, there are other items featured. Were these actual items that held meaning? If so, was it therapeutic to use for the video?

A) The items featured in the video do hold symbolic meaning, though they aren’t directly tied to my personal belongings. Each object represents a piece of the emotional weight that I, and many others, carry from past relationships or experiences. Including them in the video was a way to visualize the act of letting go whether it’s memories, expectations, or emotional ties.

Q) Do you have an album or EP in the works?

A) Yes, of course! I never stop making music – it’s a constant part of my life and creative process. I’m always working on something, and I’m really excited about what’s coming soon. I have multiple projects in the works, and I can’t wait to share them with everyone. There’s so much new material that I’ve been pouring my heart into, and I think people are going to really connect with the stories and sounds that are on the way. Stay tuned, there’s a lot to look forward to!

Q) What are some current favorite songs of yours?

A) Some of my current favorite songs include Billie Eilish’s recent album – every single track is one of the best I’ve listened to. Ariana Grande’s “True Story” from her recent album is another one I absolutely love. RAYE’s “Oscar Winning Tears” is just amazing.

Q) Who are some dream collaborators you would like to work with?

A) Some of my dream collaborators would definitely include Dave, Nora Fatehi, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and Bruno Mars. Each of them brings such unique artistry to the table. Dave’s lyrical depth and storytelling resonate with me; I think we could create something really powerful together. Nora Fatehi’s incredible energy and danceability would add a vibrant touch to any project. Collaborating with Ariana Grande would be a dream come true; her vocal agility and emotional delivery are unmatched. Billie Eilish’s innovative approach to music and her raw authenticity would inspire me to explore new sonic territories. And Bruno Mars – his ability to blend genres and create catchy, soulful hits is something I admire greatly. Working with any of these artists would be an amazing experience!

Q) What would you like to say to fans and supporters of you and the music that you make?

A) To all my fans and supporters, I want to say a heartfelt thank you! Your love and encouragement mean the world to me and inspire me every day to create and share my music. I hope that my songs resonate with you and bring you joy, comfort or even a sense of connection. Each note and lyric come from a place of authenticity and I’m so grateful to have you on this journey with me. Your support fuels my passion and I can’t wait to share even more of my music with you soon. Let’s keep this beautiful connection alive together, we can make amazing memories through music.
