Q) Please tell us the premise of the show “Project MC2” and about your character Camryn.

A) “Project MC2” is about four super smart girls who go on secret missions to protect the world. In the show, I play Camryn Coyle. She is a very intelligent engineer who loves taking things apart and builds everything out of anything.

 

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) The message behind the show and the story line is what made me want to be a part of the project. The show has such a great message behind it and not only is the show providing entertainment for kids, its encouraging young girls to follow their passions.

 

Q) Was there anything you added to Camryn that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) There are a few personality traits that I added to Cam. One of them is that she is very protective of her friends. She will do anything to make sure her friends are out of danger.

 

Q) Did you have to do any research to be able to portray someone skilled at fixing sticky situations in a pinch?

A) Yes, I did! When I got the audition, they described Cam as the “MacGyver” out of the group. I watched a few episodes of the show, “MacGyver.” I used some of things that he would do and applied it Cam. At the same time, I added a little bit of me to give Cam some flare!

 

Q) What did you find challenging about the role?

A) I think the most challenging part about this role would have to be memorizing the lines. Cam and the rest of the girls love to explain how things work. Some of the things that they say are amazing, but are tongue twisters! There are a few times where I’ve had to say a line multiple times because I got so tongue tied!

 

Q) Was there instant chemistry when you and your castmates began working together?

A) Oh yeah! I knew Mika [Abdalla] and Genneya [Walton] before this project so it was great seeing and working with them again. I met Victoria [Vida] on this project and we instantly clicked. The girls are so sweet and I always have fun when I’m with them!

 

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming “Project MC2?”

A) One of the most memorable moments filming “Project MC2” was when were shooting the last scene of episode three and we had to walk down the staircase. We had to look at each other while going down the stairs so we couldn’t look down to see where we were stepping. On the last few steps, Mika missed a step and fell down.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you will be receiving?

A) Yes, I’m really excited to hear the feedback. I love hearing what fans have to say about the show.

 

Q) Is there anything you want to be sure fans know about Camryn?

A) In the upcoming seasons, get ready to see Cam build some crazy gadgets and reveal some of her hidden talents!

 

Q) What do you think it is about the show that has made it a fast fan favorite?

A) There are not a lot of kid shows about girl empowerment. With “Project MC2” being out and having this message behind it, I think that’s what makes the show a fan favorite!
