Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?
A) I am currently filming the MTV series “Finding Carter. ” We are finishing up season 2B.

Q) What is new this season on “Finding Carter?”
A) Another family member, another brother…Ben Wallace.  He is the son of Lori (Milena Govich) and David (Alexis Denisof).  There is less drama with the parents and more with the teenagers. Grant is also dealing with some adolescent firsts. I’ll just leave it there.
Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?
A) I read the script and felt like the character, Grant, was so much like me, Zac.  He is funny and sarcastic.  He brings the comedy into all the drama going on.  I feel like I got really lucky landing this role. It’s the best.
Q) Was there anything you added to your role as Grant that wasn’t originally scripted for you?
A) I would say I played Grant a bit older or more mature than originally scripted.

Q) Where do you draw from to play the tougher, more emotional scenes?
A) I would say I do it spontaneously.  I also listen to the direction from the director.  Emotional or getting really mad are harder scenes for me.  I’m a comedy guy and in general pretty funny so that comes much easier.  You have to go to a more serious place for emotional scenes.  I’ve taken classes in Los Angeles with some acting coaches and they teach you how to get emotional.

Q) Did the cast have instant chemistry when you began working together or did you take some time together to bond?
A) Yes!!!!  GREAT Chemistry.  From the very first table read for the pilot we all bonded.  We keep in touch when we are on hiatus.  It’s pretty cool filming in Atlanta, Georgia because we all hang out and do a lot together.  Most fun times have been going to Six Flags, Go Karting, going to dinner or just hanging out on set.  A few of us went to see Mason Dye’s sister’s band, Maddie and Tae, recently when they were here in Atlanta performing.  It was really cool.  They watch the show and I’m a HUGE fan of theirs.  I saw them at the CMT Awards and they were totally like, “We love the show!”

Q) What have been your favorite moments from filming?
A) It’s probably when I have scenes with the entire cast, which isn’t often because Grant isn’t old enough to hang with the older kids.  But I do like when we are all on set and filming a scene together.  We have so much fun.  I would like more scenes with Caleb Ruminer, who plays Crash.
Q) What have you taken away from your time working on the show?

A) I guess it would be developing new skills as far as my acting, like with more dramatic and emotional scenes.  Also, learning to work with a different director for different episodes.  It’s cool to work with so many different ones.

Q) What do you think it is about “Finding Carter” that has made it such a fan favorite show?
A) I think fans relate to some of the things that happen on the show.  It’s kind of like everyday life, well, except for the kidnappings. [laughs]  I also think because our cast is so active on social media, the fans feel connected to them.  It’s like they are a part of their lives.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?
A) We love our fans and want them to see what is happening in our everyday normal lives.  Also, it’s a great way to keep them updated on when the show airs and put out teasers as to what is coming up.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?
A) THANK YOU!  I’m very thankful to the fans who support me and my acting career.  I have the best fans and I enjoy interacting with them out in public. They are always so polite. We are excited for season 2B and I can’t wait for you all to see what is happening with the Wilson family and their friends.  Season 2B premieres Tuesday, October 6th at 10:00 pm ET on MTV.
