Ashley Boettcher – Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street?”

A) I got involved with the show because I went to an audition. When I really fell in love with the project was when I read the script for the first time. I got sucked into the world of Normal Street thanks to David Anaxagoros’s amazing writing. I could really visualize the street and the characters that lived on it.

Q) Was there anything you added to your role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) I think all actors add a little bit of themselves to each character they play. Although, Nell was extremely like me right off the bat. But you always add a little bit of yourself to everyone you play.

Q) Did the cast chemistry come naturally or did you spend time to bond?

A) The chemistry with the cast was pretty natural. I remember the mixing session when I first met the guys. It was like we had been best friends for years!

Q) What have you learned and taken away from working on “Gortimer?”

A) I have learned so much form all of the directors that came on set and everyone that was a part of the project. There are truly too many things to list!

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) Every moment was fun on set, especially with filming. One of the funniest things we would do on set was clip each other with clothespins. We would see how long the clothespin would stay on the person.

Q) What do you think it is about the show that makes it such a great fit for the Amazon Network?

A) Amazon is truly like nothing else out there and so is “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street.” That is what I think makes it a perfect fit!

Q) Since you are a part of social media, are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback it will provide you?

A) I am very excited to hear what people think of the show. I really hope they like it as much as I liked making it!

Q) What is it about the show that will make viewers want to tune in?

A) I think what will make people really want to watch the show and invite others to watch the show is that it is not like anything else out there. It is about three real best friends that go on amazing adventures.
