Paige’s parents are coming to visit and she’s nervous to tell them about landing the part. Education means everything to her family and she needs to prove that she can juggle both acting and college. Jake (Charlie DePew) got an agent to read his script and Paige congratulates him. The two agree they need to talk about their relationship.

Jordan (Keith Powers) and Nina (Perrey Reeves) are fooling around in bed when celebrity gossip news host Barrett Hopper (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) makes an announcement about Jordan getting into a fight. Apparently he slept with his friend Rainer’s (Carter Jenkins) girlfriend Tangey Turner (Pepi Sonuga) and an ugly confrontation ensued. Nina tells Jordan not to provoke Hopper or Rainer anymore—she needs this movie to work.

Paige panics when she can’t find her driver’s license to get into the studio parking lot. When Rainer tells the security guard who Paige is he lets her in. During their meeting Nina tells Paige that being a movie star isn’t a part time job. She has to make a choice—either she goes all in with acting or she focuses on math for the rest of her life.

Paige runs into Alexis (Niki Koss) on the lot. Paige gives her something to sign, as she is a huge fan. However, Alexis doesn’t feel the same way. She accuses Paige of only getting the part by wearing a push-up bra and warns that the role isn’t really hers until the cameras start rolling. Alexis tells Wyatt (Jason Antoon) she wants the role as the sister in the movie and he agrees to give it to her if she goes to dinner with him.

Nina wants to fight bad press with good press. She offers Tangey the title song in the Locked movie if Tangey comes to the casing party the next day and shows the world that she, Rainer and Jordan are all still friends.

Paige’s parents drop by her apartment. Their schedule changed so they can’t stay long, but they want to take Paige and her roommates out for dinner the next night—the night of the cast party. Paige lies, saying they have a huge study group. Paige’s dad (Christopher Cousins) tells her that school comes first and he’s glad she has her priorities straight.

Alexis runs into Rachel (Katelyn Tarver), who’s recently back from New York. Rachel congratulates Alexis on dating Dakota, but Alexis tells her they broke up since they wanted different things. Rachel promises to call her so they can get a drink once she settles in.

Alan (Shawn Christian) hunts Nina down at a restaurant, demanding the rights to his movie back. She used to be his assistant and has a vendetta against him; he has an ax to grind with her as well. She admits she played dirty but refuses to give him anything.

Tangey visits Rainer, yelling at him for hooking up with dozens of girls since she’s been gone and accusing him of never caring about her when they were together. He lost her before Jordan, he was just too self-absorbed to realize it.

Paige’s stylist (Kat Tokarz) makes her try on expensive gowns and shoes. She finally finds a white dress she loves, and Jake is clearly attracted to her in it. Paige tells Cass (Georgie Flores) how worried she is about her parents finding out the truth, but Cass promises to help her through it.

While in bed with Nina, Jordan asks if she would ever tell anyone about his troubled past. She assures him she would never to anything to jeopardize his career. She gets a text informing her that the head of the studio has been fired—he’s their biggest ally, meaning the entire movie could now be shut down. To make matters worse, her new boss is Alan: one of her biggest enemies.

Paige and Jack talk while Cass grabs them all some food. Jack tells Paige she needs a friend right now, not a relationship, which obviously disappoints Paige. The next night, Cass helps Paige get dressed. Her mom (Cynthia Stevenson) unexpectedly shows up at her house and surprises Paige by being ecstatic for her. She freaks out about her starring in Locked and working with Rainer. Her mom promises they can tell her dad the news together so he understands how important this role is.

Rainer shows up at Paige’s house, wanting to take her, Jack and Cass to the premiere in style. They obviously share a moment, which both Jack and Cass notice. Cass realizes that Jack really does like Paige, but just wanted to simplify her life by telling her he just wanted to be friends. Now; however, he is nervous that Rainer will get in the way of them ever being together.

Paige is stressed at the party, as a news show her mom watches every night is shooting footage there and she is worried her dad will see it. Paige tells Rainer she has to leave the party by 8:30pm to tell her dad the truth and Rainer tells her to relax; he’ll be there whenever she needs him.

Alexis talks to Rachel at the party. She apologizes for wronging her in the past, but promises that she’s a different person now since she’s been to rehab. Alexis gives her a kiss, saying she wants to start over. Rachel admits she missed Alexis too—they’ll be seeing a lot of each other, as she also got a part in Locked.

Tangey tells Jordan that all the ugly tabloid drama was worth it since she got to be closer to him. Rainer walks in on them speaking and they start yelling at each other. Nina breaks it up, screaming that they have a job to do and must keep up appearances. She tells them to tell the press that Rainer and Tangey amicable broke up a month ago and that she and Jordan sleeping together was just an absurd rumor. She tells Rainer that she knows he sleeps with a different girl every night, which hurts Paige, as she thought Rainer really liked her.

During photos and interviews, Paige gets overwhelmed by all the flashing lights and questions. She signals to Rainer to help calm her down and he rushes over to save her. Later, Paige sees Alexis talking to Jack and gets jealous.

Tangey’s mom tries to blackmail Nina into giving Tangey a part in the movie as well as on the soundtrack, but Nina blows her off. Nina thinks Tangey should be thankful she gets to be involved at all after her last PR mishap.

Cass runs into Brody (Jason-Shane Scott), the man she is secretly cleaning topless for, at the party. She struggles to keep her double life separate.

Paige tries to sneak out of the party to talk to her dad, but Nina drags her away to talk to Barrett. Afterwards, Rainer apologizes for not having been able to get her out of it. The two lean in to kiss, but Paige’s parents interrupt them. Her dad lectures her about lying to him and throwing away her education, but Paige defends herself while her mom backs her up. She says this film is a big deal and she’s found a way to make both work and school possible. She asserts herself, saying she won’t quit the movie—it was him who taught her to dream big.

Paige tells Cass and Jack that she’s starting to think her dad was right—she can’t juggle the movie and school. They go inside to grab her some comfort food, and she sees Alexis calling Jack while they do. She answers the phone, speaking in Spanish and pretending to be Jack’s wife.

Paige goes to lunch with her parents. Her dad is still angry at her, but he has a change of heart when a young fan asks Paige for her autograph and announces that she got an A+ on the paper she wrote about the character Paige will be playing. He promises to help her with her schedule so that she can juggle both school and the movie.
