Q) What made you want to be a part of “Below Deck Mediterranean?”

A) Initially I had no interest in working on a 80m+ boat and after 6 years working on boats between 35-60m, I felt I needed to challenge myself and “Below Deck” definitely did that!

Q) Were there certain parts of your life you deemed off limits to the camera?

A) On the show, what you see is what you get with me, but of course there were a few things I decided not to share with the world that I felt were too personal and would affect my loved ones – not just myself.

Q) We saw you seem to have some chemistry with Ben [Robinson]. What drew you to him?

A) I think the main thing was his experience in the industry. We have both been in the industry a while.

Q) Do you feel the close quarters heightened your feelings?

A) I think it certainly did. When you put such big personalities in such a small space there’s bound to be fireworks!

Q) Tiffany seems to be slacking on her stewardess duties. Was it lack of experience or motivation?

A) I think Tiffany [Copeland] wanted to work on deck which is obviously hard on Julia and I. But she pulled through!

Q) We saw Danny cross the line with a guest. What is your policy on guest interaction?

A) Keep it professional. The guest interaction between a Junior Deckhand and the guests should be a “Hello”’ at the start of the charter and a “Nice to meet you” at the end. That’s just the way this industry works so I was blown away by Danny’s [Zureikat] actions.

Q) What went through your mind when you found out he had hooked up with a guest?

A) I didn’t trust Danny’s intentions from charter one so it didn’t really shock me that badly. I don’t believe he was there for the right reason.

Q) There has been some controversy with how Bryan [Kattenburg] treated Jen [Riservato] over the male deck hands. Did you notice a difference?

A) To be honest, I stay out of anything that doesn’t affect me. I have enough to deal with inside without getting into drama with the deck crew!

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) It was probably my time with Julia [D’Albert Pusey]. We built a genuine bond and friendship. I loved the beach day out! We had a lot of fun.

Q) You are a part of social media. Have you been enjoying the instant fan feedback you have been receiving?

A) I love being able to interact with the fans! It’s so much fun and it’s great to get feedback. On the other hand, I’m not loving the trolls! I don’t mind people having an opinion, but using disgusting, derogatory language is just unnecessary.

Q) What do you want to be sure fans know about you and your time on “Below Deck Mediterranean?”

A) I think the hardest thing for fans to understand is that yachting is not a democracy. It’s similar to the Navy in the way that there is a hierarchy and you need to respect that. People like Danny and Bobby [Giancola] struggled to understand that as they haven’t worked on boats before. To go against your superior’s orders (or in one case your captains) is just beyond. If the captain says jump, you say how high and that’s just how the industry works.
