Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) Right now, I’m working on “Take Two,” of course, but I have a movie coming out in September on Netflix called Sierra Burgess is a Loser starring Shannon Purser and Chrissy Metz. I’m also in a new YouTube Premium show called “Sideswiped” that will premiere late July.

Q) Please tell us the premise for “Take Two.”

A) “Take Two” is an upbeat crime procedural that follows an actress (Rachel Bilson) who is trying to make a comeback by working with a P.I. (Eddie Cibrian) for a new role. Every episode there is a new case to be solved. The show has drama, action, comedy and mystery – it’s something I feel everyone can enjoy watching.

Q) How was your character Monica originally described to you?

A) Monica is Sam’s assistant – a young, smart, quirky woman with a dry sense of humor. Someone who wants to better herself with new, bold and unique ideas.

Q) Was there anything you added to her that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) I guess I added a bit of my own personality to Monica, although she is very different from my actual personality. [laughs] She’s super fun to play though. I’ve been learning more about her as I do more episodes, so I’m trying to create her little quirks but also see what comes up organically.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the series?

A) I wanted to be a part of the series because I knew it would be a fun and entertaining show. I loved “Castle” so I knew “Take Two” would be a somewhat similar vibe. It was also a show that was already picked up, which is rare during pilot season.

Q) Is there anything you’ve found particularly challenging about playing Monica?

A) The most challenging part about Monica was in the beginning me trying to figure out exactly who she was and how to play her. Like I mentioned, she’s very different from anyone I’ve played before, so I wanted to make sure I delivered a great character for the audience.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the series?

A) I knew of Rachel and Eddie, of course, but I wasn’t as familiar with their work. But I was very excited to work with them and they are the sweetest! Rachel is so down to earth and chill – so is Eddie and the rest of the cast. I feel very lucky to have dope costars and an amazing crew as well. We have fun.

Q) What have been some of your most memorable moments from behind the scenes of filming “Take Two?”

A) I’ve had a lot of memorable moments behind the scenes! Trying on different looks for Monica is always fun because she has a very eclectic and unique style that is all her own. Also, the times when we goof off and have a good laugh – those are always fun.

Q) What do you think it is about the show that will make it a fast fan favorite?

A) I feel like “Take Two” has many different elements in a good way, which is what will hopefully draw people to the show. It’s endearing, funny and light but there’s still action and thrill. I think the characters and the relationships between them will also capture viewers’ attention. Everyone’s got different dynamics and that’ll keep the show interesting as well.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll receive to episodes?

A) Yes, I hope people will respond positively on social media! I love reading fan’s thoughts and posts, so I’m looking forward to that.

Q) What do you want to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’d like to say THANK YOU to the fans. I’m truly grateful for the support and want to keep making everyone proud!!
