Q) What first got you into theatre growing up?

A) I got into the arts by way of music – I started violin lessons in kindergarten, which brought about singing lessons, and then I fell into dancing and theatre from there. I was super into the youth programs at my local theater. I used to collect signed Broadway show posters. My dad always sang and played piano, so I definitely came by it honestly.

Q) What character that you have played was your favorite and why?

A) I get to play a lot of fun characters! I definitely loved playing Lilith on “Supernatural.” She might be my favorite. She’s so fun and badass. I also really love Vancouver and I got to meet and work with some incredible people. The crew was amazing.

Q) What is the first thing you do to research and prepare for a role or audition?

A) I love reading scripts. So, before auditions I always read the script — And the book if it’s that kind of situation. When I’m rehearsing before a shoot, I always make a little playlist for the character. I love using music because it can just really help me take on the vibe of a character. I always listen to my character’s playlist on the drive to set. By the time I get there I feel like I’m walking in their shoes.

Q) Please tell us the premise for The Never List.

A) After the sudden death of her best friend, a straight-A, obedient teen sets out to fulfill their secret list of outrageous acts they said they’d never do.

Q) What can you tell us about your character in it?

A) I play Taylor — The childhood friend of Eva (played by the amazing Fivel Stewart). We reconnect after Liz’s death and I encourage Eva to tackle the rest of their Never List.

Q) What was your favorite part of filming the movie?

A) Working with Fivel and Andrew [Kai] — it felt like summer camp! There are some really fun scenes in the movie where Fivel and I got to improv a bit and we just had so much fun.

Q) What was the most challenging about playing your character in The Never List?

A) Taylor definitely knows how to numb her pain, so it was a challenge to find a balance between her wild, fun side and the side of her that’s dealing with pain.

Q) What was the most memorable scene you filmed for the movie?

A) I loved the final scene where Fivel sings. I loved watching her perform and getting to dance in the crowd and I love the song! I also loved filming the brownie scene.

Q) What can you tell us about the next project you’re working on?

A) I can say that it’s been such a blast — I’ve gotten to train in ballroom dancing for it which has been the most fun and the most rewarding. I’m excited for the world to hopefully see it!

Q) What advice would you give to aspiring actors or thespians?

A) Be uniquely yourself; embrace the qualities that set you apart and make you you. And don’t give up!
