Batwoman – Do Not Resuscitate

The episode starts at Hamilton lab. Some doctors have been studying the blood of the Gotham citizens that were saved from poisoning a few weeks ago; however, something goes wrong in one of them and instantly dies with blood coming out of his mouth. The lead doctor (Allison Matthews) tells Dr. Ethan Rogers (Milo Shandel) that the cure cannot be recreated and that people are dying during these attempts. However, Dr. Rogers insists that they can save the same amount of lives if they succeed. So he already has a plan and goes to another patient a Frazzled intern (RJ Fetherstonhaugh) and makes him a personal villain to go after the person with the cure.

Then, we go to a fighting action with Batwoman (Javicia Leslie). She´s still injured and we can see that while she´s attempting to stay on her feet, but it is too much and has to go to the hospital with Angelique (Bevin Bru) who´s impatient because no one has come and they have been waiting for two hours for a doctor. Finally Dr. Rodriguez (Paolo Maiolo) arrives and takes a look at Ryan´s wound. He asks her how she got it, but she lies and says from a spider bite. He gives her some antibiotics and lets her go.

She gets distracted by Angelique´s phone blowing up. Ryan insists that she needs to get out while she can as selling drugs will not bring anything good, but Angelique declines and has to leave the hospital to attend some business.

We are then underground with Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and Ocean (Nathan Owens) still talking about the island and about not remembering some things. Ocean insists that he had nothing to do with the plane exploding. He does not want anything to do with her and almost leaves, but Alice insists that it should bother him not being able to remember a big part of his life. Apparently, he tried to leave and that´s why Safiyah (Shivaani Ghai) is trying to kill him. Alice thinks they got caught together trying to leave and that´s the reason they don´t remember anything.

Mary (Nicole Kang) and Jacob (Dougray Scott) are driving from an interview with a lawyer, but while they are in a middle of the conversation they get hit by a car and are taken. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) visits Ryan at the hold up. She tells her that she´s been building a case against Angelique. She has been selling Gotham´s new drug snake bite, so she wants to go for the suppliers. She asks Ryan to help her get a device close to her phone so they can install a receiver to get all the data from it. Ryan cannot believe they have that kind of technology and does not agree to it at first. Ryan hesitates and says she will help her if the file disappears so she can protect her from the crows.

Mary and Jacob are taken hostage to her clinic, which he still doesn´t know about. The frazzled intern asks her about the drug she took to Hamilton Dynamics. She tells him everything about the desert rose and how Alice poisoned her and her mother, drained her blood and tried to make more. She tried to replicate it, but it´s not possible once it´s out of the system.

Back at Ryan´s she does what she agreed with Sophie, putting the receiver near Angelique´s phone and so they are able to extract all of her information. Angelique asks Ryan how she´s feeling and Ryan says hopeful. She gives her an employee shirt from The Hold Up so she can stop selling drugs, but she doesn´t want to stop selling, Ryan reminds her that she went to prison for her for the same thing she´s still doing but in the middle of the discussion the bullet wound gets worse.

Once she gets the file on Angelique from Sophie and even though she says she understands, Ryan asks her if she´s never been in love, Sophie says yes, but now she´s alone, Ryan affirms her that when she loves someone she fights for them.

Ryan goes back to the batcave to get some information on kryptonite, she discovers that is slowly killing her. Luke (Camrus Johnson) walks in and finds out that he has been working with Alice, Ryan is mad, but before they continue the conversation Mary calls him and kind of talks in code over the phone to let them know she´s been kidnapped and is at the clinic, Ryan tries to go after her but the wound on her chest gets even worse and is taken to the floor.

Alice calls Safiyah and asks her if she somehow roofied her for the last six months because she does not remember a whole lot about her life, Safiyah asks her if she´s killed Ocean, but Alice insists she tells her thw truth about what she erased, Safiyah will tell her everything but after she completes the job she sent her to do. So the turns and start fighting Ocean not without being interrupted by Sophie, she´s there for him but agrees to let him go if he gives her the Napier painting he helped fake. So he gives it to her but when she gets to the clinic with it two henchmen are already there and point a gun to her head so Batwoman decides tol et them have the map to save Sophie´s life.

The last scene, which is super sad, Ryan wants to tell Angelique that she´s dying but she thinks that the cops have something on her and aready knows that Ryan planted some device on her phone to get all the information on it, so they break up, all while Sophie is listening to it.
