Ryan´s (Javicia Leslie) wound is getting worse. Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) are trying to help but fail as the kryptonite seems to be entering her brain. In Gotham Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is taking Tatiana (Leah Gibson) to Ocean´s (Nathan Owens) body, but Alice knocks her out right after so she can tell her the whole story of why she´s experiencing memory lost. Confirming what we already knew, Safiyah (Shivaani Ghai) wiped her mind which takes us to a flashback of Coryana. They found Alice sequestered on a boat in the middle of nowhere. Apparently, it was a Hamilton ship.  Safiyah liked Alice because she was inspired by her story and how she escaped captivity. So, they start training her sharing a common enemy, which is how her and Ocean met.

Alice and Ocean became sparring partners; however, no one noticed their relationship at first because they apparently hated each other. And the reason Safiyah erased both of their memories is because, according to Tatiana, she was in love with Alice even though she claimed to only wanted her for her army. Safiyah tells her about the dessert Rose, how it cures disease and how is her duty to protect it. This is a story that goes back to her ancestors. The women claimed that the blood that had been spilled was sacred, cutting her finger on some dirt and showing Alice that her blood can grow it.

Alice tries to get into Tatiana´s head, saying she was jealous getting her to admit she´s in love with Safiyah. But Tatiana also insists that she was not a threat to her but to the entire island. We also find out that it was not just about having their memory erased. Safiyah used someone named Enigma, a hypnotist, that helped turned Beth into Alice and then sent her back to Gotham, filling her with rage and leaving her as a cold hard vengeance-obsessed machine. She tells Tatiana to take Ocean´s body and that she will call her for the pick up.

Back at the Batcave Mary says Ryan´s bone marrow is disintegrating from the radiation of the kryptonite on her system, but before they can come with a plan Ryan takes the Batmobile and goes looking for Angelique (Bevin Bru). Unfortunately, she starts having hallucinations on the way there to a conversation with her mother Cora (Shakura S´Aida). She manages to get to Angelique, but she already has company. Batwoman asks her about Ocean, but does not get any answers from her. She just gets thrown through the window into a car. Mary and Luke get to her in time, but the police are already on the air, so she takes the Batmobile.

Ryan´s hallucinations continue taking her all the way to Alice. They start fighting and she stabs her. Mary does not have access to her clinic anymore, so she asks Luke to run some errands and get her supplies.  Ryan wakes up and Mary asks why she went to Angelique´s as Batwoman. Ryan wants justice for both of her moms.  Mary says that she cannot let her kill Alice. Ryan makes a case against Alice, so she asks Mary to get out of her way or she will go through her. She goes and tells Ocean what she found out and apparently this is goodbye because he´s preparing to leave for Portofino.

Jacob (Dougray Scott) and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) are tracking a Dr. Rogers (Milo Shandel) that has the map to Coryana. She admits she knew about Mary´s clinic and the reason she did not say anything was because she felt he would shut it down. However, they do not find the doctor alive, but murdered with a bunch of more people. Sophie thinks they were trying to make more antidote but failed.

Batwoman goes after Alice but she´s had a day and asks her if she knows who she is. Ryan takes off her mask and says her mom was Cora Lewis, but Alice has no memory of her so they start fighting. Alice says that she wasn´t the one who killed her, but her army did. Ryan starts seeing her mom again so she stops before doing something she regrets. She lets Alice go.
