Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My musical style combines the essence of country/pop with empowering vibes, drawing inspiration from the fusion of Lady A and Kelsea Ballerini.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Lainey Wilson serves as one of my biggest inspirations – not only her drive and work ethic, but also her distinctive songwriting style. I aspire to emulate Lainey’s success and hope to follow in her footsteps.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Where My Roots Run.” What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) The essence of “Where My Roots Run” lies in narrating my Southern upbringing to my New York family. Fans resonate with the joy and charm of embracing Southern identity portrayed in the song.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My approach to songwriting varies each time, but consistently I initiate the process with a compelling title. From there, I craft a melody and vibe, seamlessly weaving the lyrics into the melody.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Working with the exceptional Grady Saxman at Saxman Studios, I collaborate closely to translate the creative concepts in my mind into tangible musical realities. While expressing my artistic vision, I remain open to input and value the collaborative process.

Q) With this new song out, is there a new EP or full album in the works?

A) While there are currently no set plans for an EP, I am open to the idea with the right financial support. Being a full-time independent artist comes with its expenses and I’m actively seeking investors. For now, my focus is on releasing singles and engaging in live performances!

Q) You performed a mini hometown tour last month. What songs you were you most looking forward to performing live?

A) I loved performing some crowd-favorites on my hometown tour, including “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina, “Heart Like a Truck” by Lainey Wilson and the timeless “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. The interactive and engaged response from the audience makes these moments truly special.

Q) We are absolutely sorry for your loss of your boyfriend. Part of your performance proceeds will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention SC. With mental health concerns on the rise, what advice would you give to those struggling?

A) I deeply appreciate the condolences. Allocating a portion of my performance proceeds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention SC is my way of contributing to a crucial cause. My advice is to reach out for support, whether from friends, family or professional resources. Remember, you’re not alone, and seeking help is a courageous step towards healing.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with Lainey Wilson in the future!

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I’m currently immersed in Chris Stapleton’s music. His soulful sound and profound musicality captivate me, making him a compelling artist to listen to at the moment.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Engaging with social media is crucial for my career, enabling fans worldwide to stay connected with my daily experiences. Additionally, it plays a vital role in promoting shows and other marketing aspects of my journey.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?
