Call Me Kat – Call Me Not Okurrr

The episode opens with the aftermath of Zoey (Margie Mays) and Kat’s (Mayim Bialik) kiss. They apologize to each other and agree they had a moment. Zoey wants to keep it between them, but Kat thinks she should be honest with Max. However, Zoey isn’t ready to come out, so she wants her to keep quiet.

Kat goes home to find Max (Cheyenne Jackson) sleeping. He wakes up and asks about her night (while giving her gifts). Kat says it was fun, but leaves out the part abut the kiss, instead saying she ate the Taco Bell she got him in the car.

At the cafe Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz) body shames a customer by giving him a healthier order than the one he wanted. Kat calls her out on this, but Sheila decides to talk to Randi (Kyla Pratt) and Carter (Julian Gant) instead. The two of them argue over paint colors until Carter storms off.

Kat tells the girls about the kiss and asks if they she should tell Max. Sheila doesn’t think he needs to know, but Randi thinks he might like it.

Later on Randi and Sheila make another YouTube video, which leads to her discovering a secret hideout….but not before she struggles with stripping a wall and Sheila realizes she was taking pictures instead of filming.

Max works on another song with Zoey when Kat goes to join them, not knowing Zoey is there. She falls down the stairs and makes things awkward.

After Zoey leaves, Max says she was acting strange, leading to Kat confessing and Max getting angry and storming off.

Randi is relaxing and drinking wine when Carter call, wanting to make more paint changes, driving her crazy. To prevent a right, she pretends there is an emergency and goes to her hideout.

Kat and Sheila are getting ready to close when Max comes in, angry over the fact that Zoey won’t work with him anymore. He blames Kat and the kiss, causing another argument. Sheila asks if she can do anything but leaves when Kat says there is nothing that can be done.

Randi continues to relax in her hideout when Carter and Darren (Jay Linzy) come home with supplies for the condo. They put it by the entryway, locking her in and leaving when she screams for help. Things get worse when she realizes she is out of wine.

Kat tries to talk to Zoey, but she is too upset to speak. She tells Kat she cannot trust her and Max and the situation could ruin her career. Kat tries to make her feel better, but no avail.

Carter finally discovers Randi and her hideout and rescues her. The two of them talk things out make up.

The episode ends with Max trying to apologize, but Kat telling him they should break up.
