Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would like to say that I’m exploring sounds without barriers. In my music you will travel with a combination of Latin and sounds from around the world. My style is a sexy texture between my lower tone voice and my feminine emotional expressions. Elegant and playful.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I listen to all types of music, as I have since I was a kid. Maybe that is even the reason why I love to explore fusions – because every genre and instrument has its own magic to bring.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “El Latin Dance.”

A) When I’m creating music, I have ideas about the sounds that I want to incorporate but I’m free and open about the feelings that these sounds generate and move in me, inspiring me to write the storyline. I was in the studio with the producer, Roy Hamilton lll, working on a hip-hop beat with Cumbia, which is a genre of Latin music. I remember when I listened to the bass it drew me into the exact moment when I saw the deepest chestnut eyes of a man on our first date, eyes that I have never stopped seeing since. “Those eyes deserve a song,” I thought! I immediately started to write this song that speaks not only about love but also about the beauty of sharing our cultural differences with someone open to appreciate them.

Dance is a fundamental part of my life and my culture, and I felt the beat needed a solo full of Latin flavors. So, I invited my brother who is an award-winning DJ and Music producer from Colombia, Eban Music, to infuse Latin drums to make this song what I imagined – an elegant and subtle fresh and colorful mix between two important cultures.

“EL LATIN DANCE” has one rule – to dance. Just feel free to dance El Latin Dance!

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The intention with the music video for “El Latin Dance” is being fresh, being you without pretensions. The video, like the song, is an invitation to dance and feel free.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I believe every song has its own way of manifesting. For this song in particular the melody and lyrics came to me through the bass. But I would like to confess that the shower to me is an amazing and sacred place to connect with melodies and new ideas!

Q) Roy Hamilton III lent a hand in production on this track, but how much of a say do you have in the production of your music?

A) Most of the time I have the concept ready to work with the producer. In this case it was Roy Hamilton and Eban Music who helped me to translate that into what I envisioned. I love to create the melodies in the song-writing process, such as in “El Latin Dance.”

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I’m currently working on an EP that should be completed by early 2022. Stay tuned!

Q) You were nominated for three Canadian International Film Festival. What did that mean to you?

A) I so happy to say that I won the award for “Best Music Video” at this year’s Canadian International Fashion Film Festival (CANIFFF) for my song “Heroe.” I also received two nominations at the 2020 CANIFFF for my previous single “Mundos Paralelos.” My intention is to combine my acting experience with my music and provide an immersive cinematographic experience through my music videos. The award for “Heroe” is extra special for me because it was a tribute to my father who passed away from cancer. This was a way to honor him because he was my inspiration to pursue music.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) There are so many artists whom I respect and would love to collaborate with. One artist that comes to mind is the reggae artist Gentleman who has a unique style. I can see a reggae/hip hop/Latin fusion developing from a collaboration like that.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I’m always trying to find new artists, new ideas and new sounds but right now I have been connecting to Jason Mraz’s music a lot. I dig his positive and uplifting music. It’s what we need in these crazy times!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media offers us the way to connect directly with our fans. It’s our own niche in every place of the world – those who support me and have been following my acting and music career, those that don’t know me but are open to do it, those that inspire me to keep giving love and light to the world.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say a sincere, heartfelt thanks to all my fans and supporters. Thanks for sharing my music, following and interacting with me on social media and putting my music in your playlists. Every action means the world to me and, as an artist, I live and create from that support.
