Q) What are the recent projects you have been working on?

A) I just worked on the first season of “The Baxters,” an adaptation of author Karen Kingsbury’s best-selling series of the same name produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. Hopefully I will be able to share more news on that very soon!

Q) Please tell us the premise for the upcoming film Time Trap.

A) Time Trap is about a group of students that venture into a cave together with different motivations for doing so but ultimately realize that their disparities are irrelevant when they become trapped and find they all now share a single common objective: to escape and to do so alive. While they are down below the earth’s surface, they find that time is passing differently above them, and they must fight for their lives as they battle the danger they had no idea both existed and awaited them underground.

Q) How was your character Cara originally described to you?

A) When I first “met” our writer/director, Mark Dennis, it was over a Skype call. I had read the original script and was excited by the prospect of possibly being able to do my own stunts. I think Mark probably described Cara as a “badass” upwards of ten times during that one call, and my already existing interest was peaked.

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t initially scripted for you?

A) I hope so! Filming Time Trap was unlike any other experience I have had not even solely as an actress, but also just life in general. The entire movie changed over the course of filming and Mark and Ben Foster, our co/director and producer, constantly solicited our opinions and ideas, so we were in a constant state of change, but we were in it together.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars prior to working with them on the movie?

A) Actually, no, but that is not unusual and in a weird way it makes it all the more fun.

Q) Talk about filming in the cave. It must have been physically and mentally challenging.

A) I’m grateful that I don’t suffer from any severe phobias, but I most definitely was not a fan of heights or small spaces going into filming. I think fear is sort of a duel threat. It’s physical and mental and Time Trap gave me a reason to get over both.

Q) What piece of advice did directors Ben Foster and Mark Dennis offer that you took to heart while filming?

A) To make Cara my own

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming Time Trap?

A) Definitely every time I was strapped into a harness and doing stunts.

Q) What do you think it is about the movie that will make it a fast fan favorite?

A) I think fans will be drawn into the fast pace and curiosity surrounding the passage of time.

Q) Is there anything else you want to be sure we share with our readers about the film?

A) We filmed in so many different caves and locations! I, myself, even forget that as I watch the movie because they really have done fantastic job at making it look like one giant seamless underground cavern.

Q) What advice would you give to up and coming actors and actresses?

A) Show up early, be 100% prepared and always be the kindest you can possibly be. No one has the same story. We are all so incredibly different and no matter what there will always be someone who is funnier, more attractive, a better athlete or better at this or that, but I truly believe that no one ever forgets the kindest one of the lot.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Well, first, thank you. I am so grateful for any ounce of support I am blessed enough to receive and I, in no way, take it for granted! I love it when you take the time to share your thoughts with me!
