Q) How much did “Mr. Robot” impact your life?

A) This show has changed a lot of things. It’s been a wonderful experience working with these guys and it’s been remarkable and it’s gonna be really hard to of course let it go. I’ve loved this character and I’ve had a great journey with it and it’s been wonderful.

Q) Your character was so interesting throughout the entire series and there were always so many layers. Where can you go from here and which characters are you looking to play now?

A) Wow, well this does open the door to a lot of different opportunities which is very nice. But, yeah, this character somehow Sam Esmail and his writing team and his writing abilities have always found ways to continue to peel the onion and reveal more things about these characters. So, that’s always something that’s been really fun to be a part of. Sometimes it’s very hard because you don’t want to know certain things, but at the same time it’s relevant to the story and to Elliot’s (Rami Malek) journey so you kind of just have to go along with it.

Q) What does “ Robot” mean to you now that we’re saying farewell at Tribeca?

A) It’s so sad! Everything it means everything. I mean, I was twenty-four years old when I shot the pilot and I just turned twenty-nine. So, it’s been such a huge part of all of our lives and half of my twenties and it’s just been one of the most amazing experiences shooting on and off-set and it’s really sad.

Q) Throughout the entire series your character Darlene has the most interesting looks. How much does the wardrobe help you get into character?

A) It’s the biggest thing that helps me get into character. Her style is so distinct that it really is like all I need to put everything on and I’m like right there. And this season she has some really good stuff. I’m probably gonna take most of it home with me.

Q) It must be really life-changing to think about what comes next. Any new project or plans coming up yet?

A) I don’t know. I don’t know. We’re waiting. I’m very excited though. I have learned so far that you never know. I think I have been very lucky with what I have been able to do and so I can’t wait to see what’s next. Although, with every actor I’m like, “I’m never gonna get another job!” [laughs] But, yeah, I have no idea.

Q) Here we are four years after the first time you were all at Tribeca and here we are saying farewell. What does that mean for you?

A) Well you know, I think it’s really interesting because when I originally wrote “ Robot” I wrote it as a feature. So, I kind of architected this whole structure and this whole ending. And when it turned into a TV show and now four seasons in, I’m really able to finally conclude that whole story. It’s just a weird, surreal feeling of being able to actually – that original story from beginning to end is actually going to finish out across four years. It’s really amazing and I’m humble that I even got the opportunity to do it and to just see all of these talented actors rise to the occasion week in and week out… It’s been amazing. All I can tell you is that I’m humbled and flattered and honored to be able to finish the story in the way that it was originally intended.

Q) To see how much the story and the show has impacted the lives and careers of the cast like Christian, Carly and Rami, what’s that been like?

A) Yeah, I was just telling this story actually that I was at the Golden Globes this year and I went up to Rami [Malek] right before his category was introduced to congratulate him and I just got overwhelmed with emotion and just started crying. Just because I feel like we really both started five years ago in the same weird place and we related so much to one another and to see how far he’s risen since then just blows my mind and all the credit to him. He’s just a fabulous actor and I’m glad he’s getting the well-deserved recognition.
