Q) Please tell us the premise for the film Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure.

A) Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure is actually the first-ever wide release of a theatrical based on a digital creator brand. And not only is that an amazing thing to be a part of, but I think kids are really going to love it as well. They’re going to see digital stars that they’re used to, like Ryan [Kaji] and me, who play ourselves, and they’re going to experience an adventure on the big screen like they’ve never seen before. When Ryan’s twin sisters, Emma and Kate, get sucked into a comic book, Ryan transforms into an animated superhero and goes into the comic book world to save them.

Q) I love the magic tricks you do with Ryan. Did the two of you work together to come up with trick ideas and make sure they looked professional?

A) There is a really fun illusion at the beginning of the movie, and what’s interesting is I’m actually on the other side of it for once. Typically, I’m the one doing the tricks, but in the movie Ryan actually cuts me into three pieces. He’s a really smart guy and he picked up how to make it happen very quickly – let’s hope my job isn’t in trouble! The illusion is actually inspired by my appearance on “Britain’s Got Talent” when I was fifteen years old and cut Amanda Holden in half. It was a lot of fun then, and I think families are going to have a lot of fun watching it in the movie now.

Q) With so many young costars, what was it like on set?

A) Being on set was very fun. This is the first-ever theatrical cast that is made entirely of digital creators, so we all have that in common and I think it gives us a different perspective on filming such a big production. The cast collectively has over 200M subscribers on YouTube, so all these guys know their audience well and they were just a blast to spend time with.

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) Filming the illusion in the opening scene was very fun. It was actually very, very hot that day, which could have made being placed in a magic box a little uncomfortable, but we were having such a good time on set I didn’t really mind.

Q) What do you think it is about Ryan’s World the Movie: Titan Universe Adventure that will make it a fast fan favorite for kids?

A) Like I said earlier about the creators playing themselves, I think that’s really special and very different, but at the same time it’s going to tap into what kids love watching on the small screen and be very familiar to them. The cast of the movie has driven over 200B lifetime views on YouTube between us – we know this is a style kids love to see, and now we’re going to bring it to them in a new way. You know, we’re all apart of the first-ever creator driven theatrical, but I know there are going to be more to follow and I can’t wait to see

Q) What are the other recent projects that you have been busy working on?

A) Well, a magician never reveals his secrets! But I can tell you I’ve been working on some great projects with pocket.watch that come to life next year and I hope my audience is really going to love them. I’m branching out into some new categories and it’s been fun to work on and learn.

Q) As a magician yourself, I have to ask, have you been into the famed Magic Castle?

A) I’ve been to the magic castle in LA! It was years ago, but I did have an amazing time. I think I’m going to need to head back

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do as a magician and actor?

A) I would say thank you for supporting me, I really love what I do. I’ve been practicing magic since I was a kid, really working hard and for such a long time, and I’m so grateful I get to wake up and keep doing what I love every day.
