The Legends are back! After exposing themselves to the world in order to bid the demon Neuron farewell for the good, the Legends are now famous. And what better way to begin your claim to fame than by inviting a documentary crew abroad the Waverider to let the world meet the Legends.

The episode opens with a quick Japanese style montage explaining how the Legends defeated Neuron with the help of a dragon at Hey!World before introducing us to the documentary director Kevin Harris (Adam Beauchesne). We then see Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) introducing herself and explaining how since the Time Bureau was compromised she’s not living on the ship and had to go convince the Senator to let the Legends keep monitoring the timelines.

One by one we then start to see the Legends have their own pieces to camera explaining life on the ship. We first start with Nate Haywood (Nick Zano) who is taking fame almost too much as we see him take part in magazine photoshoots and claiming being famous no one can say no. We then see Behrad Tomaz (Shayan Sobhian) lounging around while stuffing his face with crisps. He’s taken the place of his sister, Zari Tomaz (Tala Ashe), since the timeline was rewritten in the Season 4 finale after she brought Nate back to life. However, the crew have no memory of her ever being on the ship or even existing. Behrad says he’s the tech genius on the ship from the future as he takes the documentary crew with him to show himself the day he was born at the hospital. Next is shapeshifter Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) who comes to the conclusion on camera that she can travel wherever she wants now they fixed the timeline, so she takes the jump ship and leaves.

We then see Mona Wu (Romona Young) who reveals she is now the literary agent for Rebecca Silver – a/k/a Mick Rory’s (Dominic Purcell) romance novelist’s secret identity. And then finally to Gary Green (Adam Tsekhman). He’s walking along the streets as he explains that everyone has forgiven him since he was manipulated by Neuron and was the reason the Time Bureau got shut down. He says he used to have a fairy godmother, Nora (Courtney Ford), until she granted him his hearts greatest wish, which was to become John Constantine’s (Matt Ryan) apprentice. John walks into the shot telling him to stop messing around and to hurry up.

Back on the Waverider Kevin asks Ava how her girlfriend Sara (Caity Lotz) feels about the documentary being made to which she confesses she hasn’t told her yet. The Legends are then seen putting out party food and party decorations to welcome back Sara, Mick and Ray (Brandon Routh) from the crisis. Ava tells everyone to smile and not to mention Oliver (Stephen Amell) because he died.

The three heroes walk in with Sara not looking very impressed. Ava welcomes her back with open arms as Sara asks what the hell is going on. Ava explains that the only way she could convince the Senator for funding is to carry on saving the timeline was to be clear and transparent about what they do. Thus, the whole reason for the documentary.

Kevin introduces himself to Sara and tells her to pretend like they aren’t even there. Sara asks Ava what she’s supposed to do if she wants to talk in private and Ava tells her she can do a confessional interview. Sara gives a sarcastic oh and a smile before walking up to the camera and shouting that her girlfriend has lost her mind. Ava laughs, brushing it off by saying she’s probably just tired. She then asks Mick to explain what he does and true to his style he simply says he steals stuff and tells the camera men to move it.

Ray is talking to camera saying it’s a good time to reconcile with himself as the public still think he is Neuron. He also mentions his girlfriend Nora who spends most of her time outside of the ship due to her being a fairy godmother still. The ship then starts to crash as the Legends run in asking Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton) what’s happened, but since Hey!World she caught a virus and isn’t working correctly. Nate then runs in saying it’s a class five timequake, in which Ray finds leading to St. Petersburg, Russia in 1917. So, Gideon time jumps them to imperial Russia.

The documentary crew follow them around as Nate and Ray start trying to come up with a funny catchphrase. The Legends put on their best Russian clothes to see that Grigori Rasputin a/k/a The Mad Monk (Michael Eklud) has died. Sara gets the team back on the Waverider and asks them to forget about the film crew and tackle what it as hand. Ava is struggling to talk to Sara as she is still very upset from the outcome of Crisis so Mona suggests that Ava should write a condoles card.

Meanwhile, back in New York, Constantine and Gary have been called to an apartment as a mother has reported that her son is acting weird. It turns out he has been possessed by a demon named Masher (Harrison MacDonald). Constantine, Gary and Masher leave (still in the child’s body) to go have a drink and a catch up.

Back on the Waverider we see Behrad is trying to make Sara feel better by giving her a cartoon drawing that he did of herself, Oliver and her sister Laurel. Sara says thanks and is glad it’s not a card because they can be super awkward. Ava is behind and overhears, so she walks away and instead reads the card to the camera. After a quick history lesson with Nate the Legends learn Rasputin has come back to get revenge on Yusupov, who assassinated him, and each of the Legends come up with a separate plan to stop him. Nate and Ray first get caught by Rasputin as he brings them inside to his home. As Nate is talking to him, trying to find out how he came back to life, Ava is above trying to get a shot at him and Mona dressed up as one of his ladies trying to deliver him a love letter.

After Sara threatens the camera crew to leave her alone they get a call from Constantine and Gary. They explain that some of the evillest souls in all of history have been released from hell. Back with Rasputin the rest of the Legends try to take him down themselves, but as he is a demon he can’t die without his soul being released back into hell.

They come back aboard the Waverider where Sara demands to know why they tried to take him down without them coming up with a plan. Sara explains what Constantine says then tells them she doesn’t want another dead friend. She then starts to get very emotional and asks why none of them bothered to ask how she was doing. Ava steps in and says she didn’t want to upset her even more, so she told everyone not to mention Oliver. Sara says it’s not something she can just get over and instead has to have cameras shoved in her face and storms off. In another room aboard the ship Behrad and Nate learn that the reason Gideon has a virus is because when Hey!World happened they changed the timeline and its confusing her.

They then get an incoming call from Rasputin via the documentary crew who states they’re all invited to a dinner and Sara works out he is going to kill the Romanovas. She says the rest of the Legends aren’t thinking straight so herself and Behrad will handle it. Sara is dressed as a waiter as she finds the Romanovas telling them to run away. The rest of the Legends are watching aboard as Ray suggests they should go help.

Rasputin manages to put his soldiers under a curse, including Behrad, and they begin to attack Sara. As she manages to get to Behrad it is announced that The Grand Duchess Anastasia has arrived. As she walks down the staircase towards Rapsutin she takes her veil off and it’s Ava instead. She throws a knife at him, landing straight into his chest. But as Constantine said, you can’t kill a demon the normal way. The rest of the Legends then come out to help and Sara smiles.

As Sara and Ava run off with the Romanovas to get them to safety, Ava starts to apologize to Sara about not being there for her. They get interrupted by monks attacking but still continue to have a heart to heart. As they take down the last man Ava says she wants to be there for Sara no matter what. And as they’re about to kiss Ray interrupts.

Rasputin puts Mick, Mona and Nate under a curse to kill the Romanovas. Ray flies towards them in his atom suit but they knock him down, shrinking him. Ava tries to attack the Legends and tells Sara to think of something quickly. She picks Ray up and throws him into Rasputin’s mouth as he’s making a speech to the camera. Ray enlargers himself inside of Rasputin’s body covering everything in guts and blood. Ava says the public is going to love the ending, but Sara says its missing one thing – she swoops Ava down giving her a kiss.

The episode then cuts to another montage of the Legends on the Waverider celebrating their win with an over voice from Kevin – bringing the documentary to a close. The audience begins to clap as Kevin runs backstage to bring the Legends on for a chat. Sara still isn’t looking ready to face the fame, but she puts on a brave face for the audience. Ava can see she’s not enjoying it so grabs the mic and tells everyone that it’s all fake, that they aren’t really time traveling superheroes and it was all a hoax. The Legends all begin to say the same thing as they’re booed off stage.

They all aboard the Waverider once more as Mick gives Sara an Faberge egg he stole from Russia which is worth fifty million dollars – just the money they need to fund themselves. John comes aboard the ship, sending himself to hell again to find who is releasing the Demons. Elsewhere Mick hands over the Rebecca Silver novels to Mona who then decides to leave to focus on them.

The episode ends as Nate is fixing Gideon. She says she found a glitch from Hey!World. She plays footage of Behrad saving Nate, but he starts to flick off the screen to reveal Zari in his place. Then, in Star Wars style a projection of Zari appears on the ship. She apparently left Nate a message saying they rewrote her past so she is no longer part of the team, nor will they remember her, but she is somewhere and they need to go find her. Nate asks Gideon to play the message again, asking who she is, but the message was erased.
