In his quarters Ray (Brandon Routh) looks at his mementos. Nora (Courtney Ford) wakes up and asks if he’s okay and Ray says that he was thinking about something Damien said to him. Ray figures that it’s time for them to move out and move on. He assumes that Nora can’t do her job living on the Waverider. So, he agrees to do one last mission with the Legends and then say goodbye.

Elsewhere Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) pound on the bathroom door and Zari (Tala Ashe) yells that she can’t be interrupted. Ray and Nora arrive and Ray tells Ava and Sara that he has big news. Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellars) comes in and interrupts Ray saying that she and Constantine (Matt Ryan) have made a deal to find the Loom of Fate. Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) then runs up saying that he has to use the bathroom and yells at Zari through the door. Ava tells Behrad to get in line and Mick (Dominic Purcell) arrives to interrupt Ray again. Ray says that he and Nora are leaving after one final mission just as Nate (Nick Zano) shows up and asks what they’re talking about. Ray says that the wait for the bathroom is at least thirty minutes. Nate welcomes Nora to her new morning routine. Zari finally comes out and says that her glam is complete and Ava runs into the bathroom.

Later Mick is getting breakfast when Mona (Ramona Young) comes in and greets him. She asks what’s new, figuring Rebecca Silver could use fresh inspiration, and notes that Rebecca has a troll. Mick hastily advises Mona to forget “him” and she shouldn’t reach out because it will just make her feel worse. He then storms out.

Ray finds Sara and points out that Marie and Rasputin are gone. Sara figures that Astra (Olivia Swann) has recalled them to Hell and asks if Ray has talked to Nate yet. Ray admits that he couldn’t ruin Nate’s happiness and Sara tells him to just get it over with. Ray then joins the others on the bridge where Charlie is explaining that they’re going to piece the Loom of Fate back together so they can change Astra’s life. Sara segues that into Ray telling Nate that he’s leaving, but Ray dodges the change in conversation. Charlie says that she gave one piece of the Loom to a friend for safekeeping and Nate agrees that they should track down that piece. Ray ignores Sara’s attempts to get him to tell Nate what he’s doing and Charlie says that the piece is in London 1594 where she left it.

The Waverider arrive in London at a tavern. Charlie says that she disguised the pieces of ring and spots “Will the Quill” a/k/a William Shakespeare (Rowan Schlosberg). They approach him and ask for the ring, but Shakespeare ignores them. Constantine says that “The Duke” wants the ring, warning that heads will roll. Shakespeare listens but says that he sold it. He has writer’s block and his producer, Philip Henslowe, had threatened to cut off Shakespeare’s hands. Shakespeare gave him the rings to buy some time and if he can’t end his story then his career is over.

Henslowe (Art Kitching) and his thugs arrive and Mick offers to punch him in the face to get the ring, but Ray insists that the mission has to be epic. Nate agrees and says that he and Ray should rappel down, high-five and steal the ring. Ray breaks into tears and says that he loves the plan. Charlie interrupts to show them the ring she already stole and Ray is shocked that the mission is over. Ray tells Nate that he and Nora are going to the Bahamas for a honeymoon and Nate says that he’s going to throw Ray a bachelor party.

On the Waverider the Legends ladies are hosting book club, talking about cults and how book club has helped them cope. Zari then suggests that they should throw Nora a bachelorette bash. Nate calls in to claim the Queen’s dog took the ring, so the mission isn’t over. Once Nate hangs up, he tells the men that Sara bought it. Meanwhile, Sara open bottles of champagne and the girls start to party.

Astra tells the Coin Maker (Sarah Strange) that Constantine is working for her now to bring her mother back. The Coin Maker notes that she’s the one who found Astra and raised her. If Constantine brings Natalie back, then the Coin Maker will no longer be in her family. She suggests that Astra get the Loom herself and shows her a ritual basin that will let her spy on Constantine.

The guys are drinking at the tavern and call on Ray to give a speech. He thanks Nate for the bachelor party and Mick finally says that he has a kid and can’t stop thinking about her. Ray then offers a toast to the first piece of the Loom. Astra listens in as Constantine insists that they’ll be able to change Astra’s life. He senses Astra’s presence and bumps into a customer. A fight breaks out and Mick sets one man on fire. Nate turns into Steel, Behrad airblasts some other patrons and Shakespeare watches and takes notes. Constantine doesn’t recognize Astra but sends her a message.

A drunken Ray drops his miniaturized Atom suit and it flies around the room on its own after growing to man-sized. It knocks people over and Ray finally manages to shut it down via voice control. Nate then accidentally wipes the Legends’ mind instead of Shakespeare’s.

At the party on the Waverider Nora notices that the copy of Romeo and Juliet that book club was reading has changed to Romeo v. Juliet: Dawn of Justness. Mick’s face is on the cover and the others are in the background. The women realize that something has gone wrong with the mission.

When everyone returns to the ship Sara complains that they lied to her. Sara talks to Ray privately and asks why he hasn’t told Nate that he’s leaving. Ray says that when he does it all becomes real to him. He wonders if he’s ready for it and Sara reminds him that when they first joined together, they embraced change and altered history. Ray says that he’ll miss her and Sara replies that she’ll miss him a lot as they hug.

Ray, Nate, Behrad, Constantine and Charlie go to the theatre and Sara tells them via earbud that they have to convince Shakespeare to go back to writing romances and comedies and get his draft. The actors are rehearsing their roles as the Legends in iambic perimeter. Ray goes to talk to Shakespeare while the others steal the script. Nate figures the show has potential and tells the actors that they’ve been replaced.

Ray finds Shakespeare doing last-minute amendments to his script and tells him that he can’t put on the show. Shakespeare explains that he has a plan with Romeo and Juliet forming a team and various characters from his stories will join forces to fight Richard the Third. Ray suggests that he doesn’t want Romeo and Juliet to end their stories and that he should give them a great send-off. Shakespeare admits that if he lets them go, he doesn’t know what will happen next. Ray says that endings are necessary for growth, no matter how painful they are.

As Nate comes up Ray tells Shakespeare that after they’re done, he’s leaving his team for a new mission. Nate leaves without being seen and Shakespeare says that he’ll give Romeo and Juliet an ending that no one can forget.

Back on the Waverider Nate is drinking when Ray comes in and says that the book should change back any minute. Nate tells Ray that he knows he’s leaving the Legends and Ray apologizes but says that he didn’t know how to tell him. Nate says that he could have made a playlist or t-shirts. Ray tells him that he didn’t want to upset him. Gideon announces that Romeo and Juliet have disappeared from Shakespeare’s works. Ray figures that he and Nate can go back and fix it together, but Nate says that Ray should just leave.

At the tavern Nate and Zari approach Shakespeare. Shakespeare explains that Harlowe cancelled his financing because the ring was stolen and now he has no actors and no theatre. He figures that it’s the end of Shakespeare and walks off.

Sara arrives and Nate admits that they destroyed storytelling, and Sara asks him if he’s just trying to prove everything is as miserable as he is. She wonders what they’ll do without Ray and his stupid plans, then has an idea for a stupid plan and tells Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton) to get the rest of the Legends there.

The Legends are all dressed in Romeo and Juliette attire and Sara says that Gideon will feed them their lines. Mick goes out on the stage and when Shakespeare realizes that they’re using his words, Charlie advises him to sit down and enjoy the show.

The play continues and Nate realizes that his words as Juliet echo his feelings toward Ray. He goes backstage, crying, and tells the Legends that he needs a second. Zari understands and sympathizes, noting that it’s not too hard to say goodbye to Ray. She takes over as Juliet and Nate goes to find Ray. On stage Zari acts her heart out to Constantine as Romeo.

Nate arrives on the bridge to say goodbye to Ray and Nora but there’s no sign of them. Ray comes in and says that he’s there. Nate admits that he’s really sad but also really happy for them. Ray apologizes for not telling him sooner and they both admit that it sucks…but they love each other and hug one last time.

Mick is reading King Lear when Mona comes in. She advises Mick to talk to his daughter. Mick says that he’s protecting her. He explains that nurturing fathers don’t run in his family. Mona says that she’s better for having Mick in his life and Lita will feel the same.

Charlie and Constantine show Sara the ring. Sara tells Constantine that he’s too close to it. She asks what the plan is and Charlie says that they can use the ring to find the other Loom pieces.

The episode ends as Astra wakes up and the Coin Maker takes her hand and asks what she saw. Astra explains about how Constantine said he was looking for the Loom. The Coin Maker says that it’s one of the most powerful tools in existence and she asks Astra if she wants to trust that power in Constantine’s hands.
