After a rigorous morning with Regina (Pamela Adlon), The Devil (Alan Tudyk) waddles his way out of the elevator and to the front door of his apartment building. As he opens the door, snow comes flooding into the lobby of the building. Regina then calls The Devil to tell him she tried to distract him with her wiles this morning to avoid telling him that it has been snowing in Hell.

On the way to work The Devil sees that Hell freezing over is not the only thing. On Earth pigs are flying, the Yankees admit that Boston has a better team and the United States have finally switched over to the metric system. The Devil realizes he needs to get to the office immediately and get to the bottom of everything. Outside of the office building Gloria (Stephanie Beatriz) tries to organize her crew to handle the snow. Unfortunately, she figures out that her crew is quite naïve to the way snow works as they attempt to snort it like cocaine. The Devil finally arrives to the office and heads in.

Beans (Asif Ali) and McKinley (Fred Tatasciore) are the only two people who managed to make it into the office aside from The Devil, which poses no problem until they realize that Coma (Grey Griffin) is the one who usually makes the coffee in the office. Beans offers to make it instead and The Devil is grateful. Upon walking into the office the meteorologist Mr. Smith (Richard Kind) has dropped in with some important information that he wants to share. As Hell was originally known for the circulating hot lava keeping it warm, it is the building of Hell into a metropolis that has officially cooled everything down and Hell is freezing over.

McKinley realizes that the only way to save Hell is to make the lava flow again, something that can only be accomplished by using the tome that God (Jack McBrayer) left to The Devil when he took over Hell. The Devil advises to get everyone in the office, especially Coma, as we watch the citizens of Hell start to freeze in the streets. Once The Devil’s family and Coma have convened in the office with everyone else, The Devil is ready to start the ceremony and tells Coma to disrobe. Beans immediately takes to Coma’s defense, telling The Devil that there has to be a better way than having Coma sacrifice herself. Fortunately, Coma disrobes to show that she is practically all fur and no skin as skin burns upon touching the tome. Coma is touched by the gesture of being defended and The Devil respects that Beans has stood up to him on Coma’s behalf.

As The Devil reads the ritual that will hopefully warm Hell back up again, the ritual calls for the blood of a virgin and Regina is all too vocal to Beans about what he needs to tell them. Realizing that it may be the only chance they have, Beans reluctantly tries to share that he is a virgin with the group. Regina decides to tell everyone when Beans delays and The Devil immediately escorts everyone up to the roof of the building to complete the ceremony. Beans is escorted by McKinley and Gloria as he now looks fearful of what’s to come. As The Devil yields his pitchfork and Beans jokingly asks if The Devil will prick his finger for the blood, The Devil pricks Beans in his nether regions instead for the virgin aspect and drips the blood onto the tome to complete the ritual. It seems to work as the book lights up and lava begins to burst from the ground—Hell appears to be saved! Unfortunately, the tome finally dims and the lava begins to dry into hard rock. The citizens who were cheering in the streets over the lava are then hit by a burst of cold air that freezes them instantly. The tome did not work and now The Devil realizes that there is no other option: they must evacuate Hell immediately.
