The episode begins with the tale of the Choctaw Indians in 1200 A.D. in Alabama. They are split in two teams and they are playing a lacrosse-like game. When one team loses, they will be banished forever. In order to avoid that, they ask for help from their most athletic member. But during the battle a woman on the red team, begging her ancestors to give her their strength, wins and this way she creates a tranquil future for her people.

The next thing we see is Maya (Alaqua Cox) in the contemporary setting of her hometown. Her cousin Biscuits (Cody Lightning) is sent by Maya on a shopping errand to Grandfather Skully Ick-Sho’s (Graham Greene) pawn shop. Biscuits procures the necessary items for Maya while assisting Grandpa Skully in a sale. Despite Maya’s wish to keep her arrival a secret, her grandmother Chula (Tantoo Cardinal) discovers her presence and confronts Maya’s Uncle Henry (Chaske Spencer).

Maya and Biscuits go on a journey that leads to her jumping onto a moving train. She manages to navigate her way up. Then, she reaches her target – a car where she sabotages planting a bomb in a box. The descent for the train isn’t as smooth as the ascent. She eventually manages to get off from the train, but has gotten her prosthetic leg caught. Thankfully, with her ancestors’ help, she is able to get her leg loose and with her cousin driving frantically next to the train the two of them make it out safely.

When the train arrives in New York it is unloaded by Fisk’s men. Two of the henchmen are ordered to unpack boxes when there is an explosion that Maya created, which causes the destruction of one of Fisk’s armoires. Upon being asked about the incident Uncle Henry states that he know nothing of it, while he is secretly suspecting of Maya.

We then see Maya going to visit her Grandpa Skully to get some help in repairing her damaged prosthetic leg. He manages to give her a new one and then he promises to give her an even better one if she sticks around in town. While at the shop Maya discovers an ancient Choctaw statue and Grandpa Skully tell her its origins.

Meanwhile, the events of the train saving has left many damages on Grandma’s truck, and so Biscuits offers to take it for repairs. He goes on the CB radio to sell his PlayStation in hopes of raising funds for the repair. Bonnie (Devery Jacobs) overhears the chatter and contacts Biscuits. While talking with her, he lets the news of Maya arrival in town slip.

As the episode ends, we see Uncle Henry giving Maya a talk with the purpose of stopping her in starting a war with Fisk. At this, Maya reveals him her plan of succeeding as the new Kingpin and taking Fisk’s place. Her uncle then adds that this war will eventually have a negative effect even on her friends and family. However, Maya isn’t taking any advice. She has one goal set in her mind, and she won’t stop.
