Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Influenced by a lot of things, but purely rock & roll.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) We take influence from a lot of different directions. Pretty much any era or sub-genre of rock n’ roll slides it way into our music. As well as a taste of hip-hop in some of the grooves & lyrical flow.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “RHEKTT.”

A) I started working on the lyrics of “RHEKTT” in Oct. of 2017, we’d had the instrumental practically done for a year or so and just sat on it. Lyrically, “RHEKTT” tells the story how depression, led to “self-medicating,” which led to an addiction. Our next release will play a little more into where that story lead.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think it’s just groovy enough when it needs to be and hits as hard as it needs when the time is right. So, it can sort of hit both the hardcore fan in someone, as well as the more “radio rock” vibe side of someone.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) It’s simple and down and dirty. We went for a simple yet chaotic feel with the multi-frame gimmick, so there’s just a lot to take it and you’ve gotta watch it a couple times through to catch everything.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Instrumentally, we usually just jam and create a skeleton of a song and then go back and fine tune over/over until it’s deemed fit. As for lyrics, a lot tend to start as just random notes before an instrumental ever exists, that end up finding their perfect place. [laughs]

Q) What can fans expect from a live Feverwar performance?

A) An actual performance, that’s for sure. Our live shows are something we take pride in and, of course, personally get to let loose within. Don’t expect a few dudes standing very still boringly playing their instruments. We want to put on a show. On the stage, off the stage, above the stage, wherever someone can get while playing we’ll find a way to get there. We want people leaving that night remembering us, even if they hated the music.

Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?

A) Don’t wanna spoil too much, but yup, there sure is.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Philly is our jam. We’ve made so many dope friends and they’ve treated us amazing (S/O Dom Stone, S/O all of Kaonashi, S/O Woobley) and our very own Huntington, WV. This scene is our home and we’ve been nothing but support for the past couple years.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Getting Ice-T on a track would be dope.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Unreleased Kaonashi record. Thank you Ryan for the plug on that. THIS. BAND. WILL. BE. HUGE. Check them out FOR SURE.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I mean, you have to these days. If you’re not on social media, you don’t exist pretty much. But it’s more than just making some flashy posts for some likes. It’s about showing your fans who you really are, sharing your story and bringing them along on the process of it all.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) A big ol’ THANK YOU for sure. There’s been lots of ups and downs that people may not have even known about, but it’s the fact that there’s people who care and want more from us that has made sure we’ve kept going. Gotta love anyone who’s caught the fever.
