Q) As a frequent nail polish party host, why was it important for you to create your own line?

 

A) It’s another fun way to connect with the people who watch the IG Lives. It really does start to feel like a party.

 

Q) Talk about the process from deciding to create your own line to selecting colors and then going to market. 

 

A) Freeland launched on my birthday, so what better way to celebrate than a birthday party? All of the colors are named after fun birthday things like “Bounce House Blue and “Pink Fizz Fiesta” In regard to choosing the colors, a rainbow made the most sense to me. It’s my favorite color!

 

Q) Were you looking to include certain colors to celebrate Pride or more focused on just general colors that would look great on all skin tones?

 

A) I went with colors that were going to tell a story. What colors do you think of when you say birthday? What were your favorite things from your birthday parties growing up? I wanted it to feel familiar, but also very fun and colorful.

 

Q) How involved were friends and family about giving their opinions on color suggestions and preferences?

 

A) I tried to only involve friends and family when it seemed fun! For example, the models for the birthday collection are my real-life best friends! I feel like that added to the story I wanted to tell with this collection. Fun and friends!

 

Q) Were there moments that felt surreal to you during the creation of this polish line?

 

A) Yes! The very first time I opened the product! It was such a special moment. To see my name, my color choice and my logo, it was such a moment!

 

Q) Certainly, all the colors are your “baby,” but is there a specific one that you’re feeling for Summer 2024 or that has become a favorite for you?

 

A) It feels almost unfair to answer! But to know me is to know that pink is my favorite color.

 

Q) What kind of fan response have you been receiving from those who have tried out your line?

 

A) It’s been a wonderfully positive response! I can’t wait to continue with more fun and surprises!

 

Q) What are some current polish trends you would recommend for those who enjoy having their nails done – male or female?

 

A) Whatever makes you happy! That’s what I love so much about nail polish – you can always switch it up to whatever your mood is!

 

Q) We love seeing you on our screens. What are the upcoming on-camera projects you have been busy working on?

 

A) Up next, I’ll head to the football field for the new Hulu comedy series “Chad Powers!”

 

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters – and those that appreciate you going to such lengths to make an all-inclusive nail polish line?

 

A) I would love to send the biggest thank you! Freeland has been such a labor of love and to now have it out there in the world for all of us is the best feeling! More to come!
