Cassie (Catherine Belle), Abi (Sarah Power) and Joy (Katherine Barrell) are drinking some tea together. Cassie confesses that she knew the whole time that Joy was part of their family but wanted to give her time to tell them herself. She explains that after a Thanksgiving that she decided to go to Middleton to figure out who her family was but wanted to be sure first before she could say anything. Cassie tells her that she can stay at the Grey House as long as she wants and they share a toast to family.

Martha (Catherine Disher) meets Joy at the house she just bought and they start to discuss about the renovation plans. They find a room filled with a lot of old stuff. Martha uncovers a mirror that Joy finds to be beautiful but what truly draws the Mayor’s attention is an old Edwardian clock that unfortunately has some pieces missing. Joy decides to go in search of said pieces. Martha suggests her asking for Cassie’s help since the Merriwicks have a tendency to make impossible things possible.

Donovan (Marc Bendavid) shows up at Abi’s house to cancel their date and apologizes for it. He explains that he hasn’t finished the speech he is supposed to deliver the next day, so he needs time to work on that. He also mentions that on his way there he listened to “their song” and Abi is surprised that they actually have one. He promises that she will remember eventually. Sam (James Denton) enters the kitchen in a haste saying that his watch is not working. Cassie remembers that was the same one he was using the day they met. They share some time together and then Joy walks in. Sam leaves to the hospital. The woman asks Cassie if she happens to have a rare clock face at her store. Cassie replies that she doesn’t, but there might be one at the estate sale she is going to so Joy decides to go with her. Right that moment, Abi arrives and hears a bit of the conversation and joins them as well.

Martha meets with her friend Simone (Karen Waddell) at the bistro. They recall their younger years while complimenting each other. Simone, who happens to be a publisher, suddenly suggests Martha write her own book. At the hospital Sam pays a visit to his patient Darryl (Jamaal Grant) who is playing games with Adam (Scott Cavalheiro). Sam asks his patient about his rehab exercises, but the man keeps putting them off and notes that he will surely start the next day. Cassie is baking some cookies when George (Peter MacNeill) arrives wearing his Air Force cap. He explains that he’s going to meet with his friend Harry (Doug MacLeod) after forty years of not seeing each other. At Stephanie’s (Kylee Evans) bistro the woman is busy picking up some orders when her ex-husband Wes (Sandy Jobin-Bevans) arrives. She is surprised to see him there and he explains that he was doing business nearby and decided to pay a visit since he is interested in selling the cabin they decided to share after their divorce. He wanted to know if she is up for it too. That moment Adam walks in and Stephanie awkwardly introduces them to each other.

At the estate sale Joy seems to be disappointed since she hasn’t found the clock’s face she is looking for, but Cassie tells her to be patient. Suddenly, she sees a clock standing nearby and gets all excited about it. Then, she sadly sees a red “sold” tag. She decides to go after the person who bought it and learns the man is named Carter (Jason Diaz). She attempts to persuade him into selling her the clock, but he refuses and says he needs to leave. Judging by the missing gaskets on his truck, it seems that is not happening. At Martha’s office the woman is surrounded by a full team that are taking photos of her while she makes all kinds of different poses. Stephanie walks in with the food cart and Martha says that she wants the best picture for her book. The chef asks her about what she has written, but Martha says that is not truly important as she believes that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Sam meets with his patient Laura (Andrea Carter) who is holding her dog Lucky very tightly since she is afraid of the surgery that Sam will perform on her, but he tells her there’s nothing to be concerned about. She tries to put her dog in his carrier, but he runs away and goes straight to Darryl’s arms who managed to get up to catch the dog with whom he is familiar with. It turns out Laura and Darryl were married for five years. Darryl decides to walk Laura back to her room while they are followed by Sam. Stephanie and Adam are sharing some time together when Martha arrives saying that she would like for them to pen some endorsements for her book when is finished something to what Adam agrees but only after reading her book and she ends up confessing that she hasn’t written a word so, Stephanie suggests that since enjoys talking very much, she should use dictation as a resource.

Joy, Abi and Cassie arrive at a bar. Joy asks them to go find a table while she orders some onion rings. Carter sees her and approaches to her and suggests asking for the extra crispy onion rings. Joy wonders if he has reconsidered her offer, but nothing has changed.  Carter is now playing darts and doing pretty well at it. Joy joins him as an opponent and says that if she wins then he’ll give her the clock and if he wins she will give him her truck. In the meantime, Abi tells Cassie that she will go to put a song on the jukebox. Cassie mentions that it seems she is trying to jog her memory and Abi understands that Cassie knows the song she is looking for. Abi asks her for a clue and Cassie says that she should try the “F7.” Abi searches the F7 on the jukebox, but the name of the song doesn’t ring a bell to her. The waitress (Mairi Babb) nearby tells Abi that she should not waste her time on the jukebox since it hasn’t worked since the Beatles were together.

George is at the bistro waiting for his friend. Harry arrives and they greet each other happily. Stephanie brings them coffee and deserts and they recall of the times when they used to be part of the same squadron. Harry says that if it wasn’t for him that he wouldn’t be here today. Martha is trying to find the right words to start writing her book, but nothing seems to be appropriate for her. She reads some of the books spread on her desk in an attempt to find what makes them interesting and suddenly she seems to be surprised by something she reads. Adam and Sam are sharing a coffee at Stephanie’s bistro and talking about the cabin that the woman shares with her ex-husband. Adam seems to be worried for “not being worried” about Stephanie and Wes’s situation so he asks Sam for advice. Sam notes that since he is actually wondering about it, there might be some concern from his side about it.

Back at the bar Joy begins to brag about her luck to Carter and promises him that she will teach him a life lesson when she wins the clock. The woman throws the dart and hits the bull’s eye. Then, Cassie makes a slight movement with her head and the dart falls off much to Joy’s disappointment. Carter throws his dart and wins the game. So, Joy has no choice but to hand her truck’s keys to the man. George speaks with Sam about wanting to donate a kidney to his friend Harry . The doctor gives him some advice about the procedure and tells him that if he is fully convinced to do so then he’ll walk him through it.

Stephanie and Wes are at their cabin packing up. They begin to recall the time when they were together and Wes wonders why they got divorced in the first place. Stephanie mentions that it seems they just wanted different things and the man looks sad at her confession. The Merriwick women leave the bar and Joy seems to be mad that she didn’t get the clock for Martha. Abi and Cassie tell her that even though she has an evident gift…for darts, she needs to be careful. Joy wonders how they’re getting home since she had to give up her truck. Cassie tells her that they might actually have a ride after all and points in the direction of Joy’s truck. She finds her keys wrapped in a paper that has written “You really think I’d take your truck?” on it.

Abi goes to Donovan’s office where she finds her boyfriend’s throwing a ball at the wall in an attempt to solve his writer’s block. Abi suggests he use music instead and tries to get information from him about their song. He realizes what she is trying to do and don’t give in easily. Abi tries to help him with his speech, but nothing seems to come to his mind. Suddenly, the screens goes black and Donovan asks her to click “F7.” Abi remembers the song of the jukebox associated to that key called “Blue Suede Shoes” and says it out loud. Donovan says that was his dad’s favorite song and that he used to sing it all the time on their road trips. He remembers stories about his family and decides to build his speech around them. Outside the rain begins to pour and they go to the window while Donovan says, “That came out of nowhere” and Abi smiles as if realizing something.

Cassie, George and Harry are having some cookies in the kitchen when Sam walks in and announces them that unfortunately, George is not a match for Harry. Cassie takes the man’s hand and tells him that sometimes good things happen when they think it won’t and right that moment his doctor calls saying he has found a match for him making everybody happy about the great news. Stephanie and Wes wave their goodbyes and the man implies that he would like to have her back. She seems to be confused about it. Back at the Grey House Cassie meets with Sam who is looking at a website searching for emotional support dogs. Given his experience with Laura, his patient, he found an interest to start a program at the hospital that might be helpful for other patients. Cassie seizes the moment and gives him a gift that she got at the estates sale that happens to be a watch with an engraving on the back that reads “Our Love is Timeless. Forever, LH.” The next day Sam pays a visit to Darryl and is surprised to see him on his feet and next to Laura. She says that Lucky wanted to say goodbye to Darryl so she took the dog to him. Darryl compliments Sam’s watch and he explains that it was a gift from Cassie. They share a story of a similar watch that Laura got for Darryl as a wedding gift but got lost by the airline when they were on the way to their honeymoon. Sam asks them if the watch they lost happened to have some sort of an engraving in the back and it turns out that the watch is the one that Darryl lost! Sam gives it back to him.

Joy is having some cookies in the kitchen when Abi walks in and says that she understands that it might be tough for her that things didn’t turn out as she wanted given she was used to do things her way. Joy says that since she had been alone for a long time she had learned to manage herself. Abi tells her that she has a family now and Cassie will surely be looking after her. Joy asks her if having a family would mean she would need to change who she is, but Abi says that maybe what she would like to change the way she thinks about things. Later that day Joy arrives to Martha’s office to tell her that she couldn’t get the clock face she needed and finds Cassie there who is getting ready for Martha’s Memoir reading. The Mayor begins to tell a story that both Joy and Cassie didn’t know about. Martha mentions that given she thinks her life isn’t that exciting, she had to lie a little bit. Joy makes use of the advice that Abi just gave her and says that she is just passing along some of the Merriwick family philosophy. Martha tells her that she is not a Merriwick. Cassie nods with her head while Joy smiles widely and Martha gets excited.

Harry and George wave their goodbyes, but before Harry leaves he gives his friend the medal he got when he was wounded. George saved his life. Abi takes Donovan to the bar where she was earlier with Joy and Cassie and the man says that he will try to put a song in the jukebox. Abi goes after him and rephrases what the waitress told her earlier about it. The woman also tells him that she just remembered their song,  “Just The Way You Are.” They listened to it when they went to the beach and suddenly started raining. They had to go back to the car and the song just popped up. He said, “That came out of nowhere.” All of a sudden, the song starts to play at the jukebox and they dance slowly to it. Adam meets Stephanie at the bistro and confesses that he was jealous about her spending time with Wes and the woman assures him that he has nothing to worry about.

Cassie is reading a book by the fireplace when Sam walks in. He tells her that the watch she gave him found his way home and Cassie say that his watch did too. She managed to fix his old watch and engraved “Our Love is Timeless. Forever, CN” on it.
