Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say it’s a combination of dark pop, rock elements and a lot of drama.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Nine Inch Nails, Banks, Lacuna Coil

Q) How did growing up in Israel help shape you as an artist?

A) I think growing up with internet made it easy to access and discover new music no matter where you are. Israel was always super influenced by American culture and music.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “IDGAF.”

A) It’s about the things that we put up with just to not be alone. Sometimes we have to find our power by struggling alone rather than depend on others.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think most of us got hurt at some point from someone we got attached to and later on realized we never even had anything in common. So, then you look back and cringe…Like, wtf was I thinking then?

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) It’s an artwork by Lewis Griffin. It shows a woman who is bleeding from her eyes while having a whole world inside her mind, her lips are half smiling while her eyes are hiding the truth. That’s what that means for me.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I definitely don’t need music to write anything, I always start a song with a melody and lyrics in my mind and build around that. This time it was a bit different cause I worked with a wonderful producer named Tyler Fortney. We worked on the all song together and started the session with nothing.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I’m gonna be honest with you, I’m a bit of a bossy bitch in the studio. [laughs]

I mean not a “bitch,” but I definitely have strong opinions and I know how I want things to sound, so I have a big part of it. But the only reason a song comes out good is working together with amazing producers who embrace that and understand and don’t hate me for it.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I’m going to keep putting out songs, not an album anytime soon though.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I’ll never forget our “Sofar Sounds” experience in New York City. We played an acoustic set at this beautiful loft with huge windows showing the New York skyline. People were amazing and the vibe was intimate. It really felt special

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I love the new Billie Eilish album. Digging the chill and sad vibe.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Because we don’t have any other, I think it’s amazing I get to ask on my story what people think of songs and to share their experiences. It would really suck to not have that option.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) That I appreciate you so much and extremely great full for your support! Every stream, click, comment means a lot and knowing my music helps you keeps me going. Love you!
