Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) That’s always been a very tough question. Period. I’d like to say we are mixing pot of everything that we grew up listening to and tastes of variety that we enjoy now all thrown into one big pot. I feel there is something for everyone with Heart to Heart.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) That all varies with each member that you ask. But since you’re asking me, I grew up listening to The Starting Line, The Get Up Kids, Poison the Well, Deftones and the list goes on.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Insufferable.”

A) When we were writing the lyrics, I was going through a break up and coming to the end of a relationship. So, I just basically wrote it based off what I was going through and that exact moment in time as cliché as that sounds.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) The vibe, the feel, the lyrics, the slap in riffs…How much time you got? I could go on forever.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) In the video I play a bunch of different roles that are all different sides of myself. So, I guess you can kind of say maybe it’s the reasons that the relationship came to an end. “Insufferable” is a story if you listen to the lyrics it tells you the whole story completely in four minutes.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) We put all of the music together first and then we write melodies and then we write lyrics I worked tight with Steve Klein. On that and he and I pretty much did all of that together.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I had a big role in production I would drive down and spend countless days with Steve Klein and we basically together made this record happen. We had a new vision for the band and together I feel that we accomplish that mission.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Heart to Heart performance?

A) Heart to Heart show is literally one of a kind.  You can expect to see me climbing all over things, upside down, under the stage…I rode a mechanical bull during a set once. You never know what you’re going to get.

Q) What songs off your Heartbreaker EP are you looking forward to performing live?

A) All of them. We haven’t played any of them live yet and I can’t wait to play new music.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your new EP as a whole?

A) I just hope that they can connect one way or another. That’s all I really want ever. I sell emotion so I just hope that I can make someone feel something.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Heart to Heart loves Texas. Texas has always been good to Heart to Heart, so I think I’m gonna have to go to Texas for this one.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to do a song with Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail. Tweet him.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) The new Somos record is incredible. It’s damn near perfect.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) In case you didn’t know, not only am I the vocalist of Heart to Heart but I’m a professional wrestler that goes by the name of “Outlandish” Zicky Dice. I’m constantly on top of social media. It’s basically how I work and network and connect with fans and the world.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you always for believing in me and supporting my crazy outlandish journey that I call life. You are all the reason I continue to do this so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
