Q) What are the recent projects you have been working on?

A) I just finished two films: Cradle Robber and A Stolen Life. I am also in the midst of putting together my second feature film as a producer and actress.

Q) Please tell us the premise for Pretty Bad Actressand about your character Gloria Green.

A) Pretty Bad Actress is a film about Gloria Green, a washed-up child star trying to resurrect her career with no luck. When Gloria thinks things can’t get much worse, she gets kidnapped by a stalker. While she’s held captive with her biggest fan her agent decides it the perfect making of a comeback.

Gloria is a once famous child star. Fighting addition, grappling with a tragedy that she just can’t move passed and is desperately trying to get herself back together to no avail.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A) The first thing that attracted me to the project was the amazing script by Nick Scown who also directed the film. Being a child actress myself and having been surrounded by the entertainment industry my whole life, I loved the idea of shedding light on the true struggles actors and celebrities go through on a daily basis. I have an immense respect for my fellow actors and how brave they are to constantly put themselves out there. I also loved the idea that it explored our obsession with celebrities and celebrity culture. I loved the dark comedic tone of the script that was executed brilliantly by Nick.

Q) Was there anything you added to Gloria that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) Nick was very open to us playing around and going off book and throwing in some improve here and there, which is always fun as actors when the director gives you this kind of forum to play.

Q) Talk about working with costar Jillian Bell.

A) Jillian is an absolute sweetheart and such a committed artist. She is so talented and up for anything. I literally could just watch her for hours. She is THAT funny. I feel very blessed to have worked with her and to have seen her in action.

Q) You have great comedic timing. Is it something that has always been a natural ability or something you have had to work at?

A) Thank you so much for the amazing compliment. I appreciate that. I always try and come from the truth of where the character is coming from. I feel that if I try to be funny I never am, so I try and stay in truth.

Q) What advice did writer/director Nick Scown offer you during filming that you took to heart?

A) What I loved about working with Nick was his constant smiles and words of encouragement. He always supported me to push the envelope and take things a little further. He had a knack for effortlessly getting me out of my comfort zone. We had a lot of fun on this film.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming Pretty Bad Actress?

A) We had such a great time making this film. The entire cast and crew got along so well and the creatively effortlessly flowed. The memories I hold most dear are of the days being filled with continuous laughter.

Q) The movie opens in LA and on Digital on August 10. How do you plan on celebrating?

A) A bunch of my friends and family are going to join me to watch it on the big screen here in LA!

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll receive to the film?

A) Yes! I love fan feedback.

Q) What advice would you offer up and coming actors and actresses?

A) To focus on the work and hone in your craft. Hustle. If you work hard, you will always be ready to meet the opportunity. And when you get the opportunity to work, be kind and respectful to everyone. This is a team sport and you are a small part of a very big machine. Energy is infectious so always spread positive vibes on set and always be prepared. And GO for it! Believe in your dreams!

Q) What do you think it is about the movie that will make it a fast comedy fan favorite?

A) Jillian Bell’s and the rest of the cast amazing performances. [smiles]
