Q) Your music has been labeled as electronic or hip-hop/pop. How would you describe your sound?

A) My mission is to spread positivity and love through my music, making it accessible to diverse audiences with its pop essence intertwined with various sub-genres.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Born in Bulgaria and actively creating in Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria, I fuse the cultural worlds of both countries. My musical palette draws from K- and J-POP alongside modern American pop.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Be Yourself.”

A) “Be Yourself” echoes the themes of my previous works, inspiring listeners to persevere through life’s challenges and trust in their abilities. It’s not just a message to my fans but also a reminder to myself. Also “Be Yourself” is not only a reminder to live authentically but also a call to action to embrace life’s challenges with resilience and optimism.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) Fans resonate with the song’s message of self-belief and resilience. With a diverse audience spanning continents and cultures, “Be Yourself” taps into the universal human quality of faith.

Q) There is a lyric video out for the song now. Will there be a full video coming in the near future?

A) While there’s currently a lyric video, stay tuned for updates on a potential full video release. As an indie artist some time it is challenging to get ready everything before launch of the new song.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Typically, I start with a draft of the lyrics, collaborating with talented producers like Felix Kotlo to refine the beat, style and rhythm. Recently, I am experimenting with writing lyrics based on a draft beat first, evolving the melody and lyrics simultaneously.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) My involvement varies, depending on the song, my focus, and the team’s availability. Typically, after finalizing the demo, I work with a vocal coach for about two weeks to refine my performance. I aim to optimize studio time, recording vocals for a song in about an hour. The mixing and mastering process afterward can take two to three weeks to a month and a half, depending on the producer. On average, a song is ready within one and a half to two months.

Q) Your EP Smile came out six months ago. Is there a new album or EP in the works or are you focused on releasing singles for the time being?

A) As I already mentioned, I am currently working on a new single. Of course Iam going to releasea new EP, but I can’t say about exact dates at the moment; hope end of this year or beginning of the next.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I do not associate the performance of songs with a specific place or with the amount of audience. I have participated in small corporate events for fifty to one hundred people and concerts in a theater or in a philharmonic with a symphony orchestra. I feel comfortable everywhere thanks to the positive energy I receive from the audience and their warm applause and support.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I am open to any collaborations and experiments. I would be very happy to collaborate both with an American pop star, but also with a K- or J-POP boy band.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now I’m listening to StrayKids, Enhypen and Taemin. I just love their creativity and the impeccable performance of the artists and their teams.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Yes, inevitably, I am present on social media. They are the current and good opportunity for my messages to reach a wider range of people around the world.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I sincerely thank all my listeners for their unconditional support. And I want to use a line from my latest song “Be Yourself” – let some love inside and heal your cuts. I love you and thank you!
