Jessica Green – The Outpost
By: Jamie Steinberg
Q) What are the recent projects you’ve been working on?
A) I have just wrapped filming Season 2 of “The Outpost” in Serbia!
Q) Please tell us what is new this season on “The Outpost.”
A) Get ready for some big plot twists and a whole lot of new characters.
Q) Have you had much of a say in how Talon continues to develop?
A) Yes, I have wonderful relationships with the directors and writers and we work together in guiding and developing Talon to what we all agree on.
Q) What kind of physical training has gone into getting into character?
A) Daily gym sessions training. While in Serbia I train one on one with an incredible coach who gets me prepped ready for the season plus fight training for the fight scenes
Q) With Dred having escaped, what does this mean for Talon in Season 2?
A) It means her quest or mission isn’t complete the story continues.
Q) In what way will the Dragman play the role of ally to Talon?
A) I think we all know Talon by now and she won’t stop until she gets her revenge.
Q) What is it about both Janzo and Garret that continue to make them each so vital to Talon’s survival?
A) Their friendship. Talon has lived a very closed off lonely life and I think now that she finally has these loyal friends around her, they are like a family they also help protect her.
Q) After last season, was there someone(s) in particular you were hoping to share a (or more) scene with in Season 2?
A) I love working with everyone! But I especially loved the scenes with Andrew Howard (Marshal Withers) and Robyn Malcolm (The Mistress). I admire them both they have so much experience and knowledge of the film industry from years of acting I’m constantly learning by working with them.
Q) What can you tease are some standout scenes “The Outpost” fans should look out for this season?
A) There are some epic fight scenes coming up this season I think the fans will love!
Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to episodes?
A) Yes, I think it’s wonderful how social media today lets you communicate so closely to fans.
Q) What do you think it is about “The Outpost” that has made it a standout series?
A) It stands out because it’s a fun family show that everyone can get into. It’s not your typical medieval sci-fi show. We have everything from creatures and battle scenes to romance and comedy.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of your work?
A) Just a massive Thank you! Myself and the show wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the amazing love and support from the fans. You guys make this show happen!
