By: Jamie Steinberg
Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?
A) I have been working on show called “Ride”on Nickelodeon and YTV and a TV movie series called Bruno & Boots also on YTV. Recently, I was on a show called “Private Eyes” with Jason Priestley!
Q) Please tell us the premise for “Ride” and about your character.
A) “Ride”is about an elite equestrian school in the U.K. that is all about dedicated and quality horsemanship. Itfollows the journey of Kit (Kendra Leigh Timmins), an American teenager who must adjust to life in England at The Covington Academy after her father accepts his dream job as the equestrian supervisor at the school. But the thing is Kit does not ride and she must learn to overcome her fear.
Q) Was there something you added to your role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?
A) The character had great guidelines thanks to the awesome writing team and Josh has quite similar characteristics to me.
Q) Where do you and your character connect, if at all?
A) I think we both connect on how laid back we both are and we both have the “go with the flow” mindset. We’re both very smiley and playful!
Q) How comfortable were you around horses before the series?
A) Extremely comfortable! I love horses! I have grown up on a horse farm playing polo since I was six years old.
Q) As the season progresses, how might dynamics flip or switch?
A) New and unsuspected friendships arise, love triangles become more intense and the riding scores become a competition amongst the friends.
Q) What are some memorable moments you are looking forward to fans seeing this season?
A) I’m looking forward to Anya (Rameet Rauli) and Josh’s big event night! We both got to dress classy. It’s funny wearing a bowtie!
Q) What makes the series such a perfect fit for Nickelodeon?
A) Nickelodeon fans will be able to relate as the series navigates growing up, conquering fears and handling romance and friendships.
Q) What do you think it is about the show that will make it a quick fan favorite?
