Q) Was there something about Missy or about the show itself that made you want to be a part of you?

A) When I read the script I was I was so intrigued by this character who is going through so much heartbreak and grief, trying to navigate all these relationships and her dynamic with this family. And there was just so many elements to her that was something that I’ve never really played or discovered before. So, being able to dive into that just seemed so fun and also the elements and all these things was something that I’ve never done before that definitely made it a fun new world to explore.

Q) I’m curious to know about cowboy camp and what your experience like.

A) We got to train a bit riding horses, to take care of them and ranch life – like Ranch Life 101, essentially. That was actually very helpful and we’re filming on an actual working ranch with real ranch hands and cattle andstuff. It definitely helped immerse us into world of ranching.

Q) There’s a great familial bond to everyone on this series. How familiar were you with your costars before working with them?

A) I met them on this project, but we were not from Calgary. So, we all kind of bonded together because we didn’t know anyone. We were able to kind of become a family off screen and explore Calgary and do things and hang out together which was really fun.

Q) I like that everyone seems to have such a great bond with each other. I’m sure you spent plenty of time before filming becoming this family. Was that the case? Or did you guys just seem to have an instant connection when you started working together?

A) It was pretty instant. We all got along really well and had a lot of fun. So, it definitely was something that was quite natural and easy.

Q) You and Beau [Mirchoff] seem to especially have quite an on-screen connection and they there’s a great family bond with Isabel, played by Nancy Travis. Talk about working with her please.

A) Nancy is wonderful. She’s just so full of life and energy. It’s funny, I’ve worked with a lot of great actresses before but I said to her at one point I was like, “Not only do I want to like to – one, be like you as an actor, but also like as a person.” She just shows up gracious to everybody and happy to be there. And she worked so hard and is so invested. And it’s just so wonderful to be able to work with someone like that and be able to have the opportunity to learn from someone who’s been in the industry for so long and worked on so many things. She’s great.

Q) So many of us were so proud for Missy sticking up for herself and turning down the check ride this week. Were there other memorable moments you’ve had from filming the series?

A) Oh, yeah, there’s lots of memorablemoments. There’s one for me – it was a really big moment for me. And it was just a really interesting filming experience. And really, really fun! The dynamics with every character ends up getting deeper and deeper. These things keep coming up that you didn’t realize people keep coming back. It was it definitely was a journey.

Q) Not everything in the McMurray life easy. I can’t decide if I like Missy more with Tuff (Jake Foy) or Gus (Tyler Jacob Moore)! I don’t know. Maybe I like her single. Do you have any insights into where her heart lies?

A) I think it’s a really complicated one. In this kind of era of self discovery and figuring out where her place is in this family and what she wants to do and her passions. And for so long, she kind of took care of the McMurrays and was there for Austin and his dreams and now she has an opportunity to kind of reevaluate and focus on herself. Cash is so connected to this world and this life that she’s been a part of for so long as he knows her better than anyone but he’s also attached to so many other memories and his brother – her husband. All these things…But on the other side, it’s like a clean slate for her. He doesn’t know her past. He doesn’t know her as anything. So, she has a chance to kind of start fresh with him and who she is and present to him whoever she discovers instead of having all this baggage that sometimes comes up with Cash.

Q) How do you guys shake off a long day of filming? You’re doing double duty as ranch hands and actors.

A) Definitely like a lot of long days – a lot of exhausting days, a lot of car naps as we would drive back into the city at the end of a long day. But we were filming in such a beautiful place and we all cared so much about the show that it made the long days feel worth it.

Q) What do you think it is about “Ride” that has just made it such a fast fan favorite show?

A) It’s got all these different elements. It’s got romance, family and danger with the bull writing. So, there’s there’s a lot of different things that people can connect to.

Q) You’re a part of social media. What kind of fan response have you been receiving to the show so far?

A) It’s been amazing. So far people seem to be absolutely loving it, positive, happy to have a more family-friendly “Yellowstone.” Something they can watch with the whole family. So, yeah, it’s definitely been it’s been super positive. I’m just so happy that people are enjoying it so much.

Q) Have you been busy working on anything else or has “Ride” been keeping you full time busy?

A) It’s been a really busy couple of months that I’ve been working on some of my own projects, and I also am back filming the last season of “Riverdale.”

Q) I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask you what it’s meant to you to be a part of such an iconic series?

A) It’s incredible. I was a part of it from season one and so to be able to be in every season, even if it’s a little bit popping in and out, it’s been so fun in so wonderful and it’s a big reason that I have the career that I have today. And so it’s a bit of an end of an era, a closing of that chapter. But it’s definitely the actor that I am and have the opportunities that I do now.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the wonderful work you continue to do on our screens?

A) That’s why we do it. That’s why we do stories and tell stories and work the long hours for all the fans and everybody who is dedicated to watching the things we do and I just think it’s it’s so wonderful. You know, I’ve been an actor since I was a kid and all I wanted to do is just, you know, inspire people to tell stories and to have a dedicated fan base. watching and supporting that is just it’s amazing.
