Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) Besides “Letterkenny” I spent the summer working on a cartoon for the VRV channel Mondo called “Bigfoot “and I’ve been recording a Christmas album called Christmas with a K that will be released at the end of November

Q) Please tease what is new this season on “Letterkenny” and with Dan.

A) Season 7 is out now, so it deals with the Hicks starting their own public access show, Tanis (Kaniehtiio Horn) getting the Irish back together and some good old-fashioned shenanigans

Q) Was there anything you added to Dan that wasn’t in his initial breakdown?

A) When we started the show, I wanted to bring an element to Dan that set him apart from the other Hicks. So, with Jared [Keeso] and Jacob’s [Tierney] blessing, I introduced Dan’s over use of plurals and constant malapropisms. Also, some of Dan’s stories are real stories I told Jared that he asked if we could use on the show. And, actually, Professor Trisha and Dan’s women’s study class all grew out of an ad lib.

Q) Have you had much say in how the character has developed over the seasons?

A) I’ve had a fair amount of influence on Dan, in my opinion. There is a lot of give and take on the show. We’ve been allowed to make the characters our own.

Q) While filming the series is there much room for improv?

A) Yes

Q) Who are some guest stars you can share that will be appearing in this new season of the show?

A) Not really any guest stars this season, but some great returns like Magalie Lepine-Blondeau is back as Marie Fred. The senior hockey players are back and Clark Backo returns as Rosie.

Q) Of course, being a standup comic, you have great comedic. Is it something that was always a natural ability you had or something you’ve had to work at?

A) I have to say comedic timing or more so knowing what is funny is kind of an innate ability. My Dad always told me that I knew that something was funny before I knew why it was funny.

Q) What are some of your favorite moments from filming or some upcoming episodes fans should look out for?

A) One of my favorite things from the new season is Jared Keeso doing random voices on the call-in show and (spoiler) the porno episode.

Q) What do you think it is about the show “Letterkenny” that has made it such a fan favorite show?

A) “Letterkenny” speaks to a lot of people. Most of North America is small towns and therefore people see themselves and their friends and loved ones in our characters. In many ways we are a super progressive show and at the same time we harken back to a simpler time where you can have a fist fight with someone and then become friends afterwards.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you’ll receive to the new season?

A) It’s always fun to see the positive reactions from the fans. The people who love the show really love it and they let us know. Considering the show started as a web series, we’ve always embraced social media and our relationship online with our fans.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) To everyone who supports me and “Letterkenny” and likes what we do I just want to say thanks so much for watching. Without you this would all be pretty boring.
