Kicking Sunrise – Rest of My Life

Q) How would you describe your sound?

 

A) Alternative/pop

 

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Rest of My Life.” Joe, did the idea for proposing to your GF come first or did the idea for the song?

 

A) After realizing I was finally ready to pop the question, I went to former KS member and producer “Ryze Official” to get a song together as a part of the plan to ask my girlfriend to marry me. The candid proposal footage would then become the music video for the song. He loved the idea and had the perfect combination of sounds that sparked our creative chemistry once again.

 

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

 

A) “Rest of My Life” is based on the realization of loving everything about someone: a proposal song for asking one’s hand in marriage. This song was a way for me to truly express my feelings and promise to her forever.

 

Q) What did your new fiancée think of using your proposal for the video?

 

A) She was totally surprised! Afterwards, when I told her what I had planned and she saw the final video edit, she was extremely pleased with the project. As well as the fact that she finally had a ring!

 

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

 

A) I find inspiration in sounds. Usually, a certain vibe will influence a melody or story for me.

 

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

 

A) We’re not sure yet! We’re planning on consistently releasing new music this year and seeing what kind of momentum and feedback this brings for our band.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

 

A) Social media is a great way to keep our fans in the loop with what’s new with our live performance schedule and upcoming music releases.

 

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

 

A) Thank you for sticking with us through all of the ups and downs of our journey thus far! We plan on continuing to grow and build on the foundation of good music and even better company for those that come to experience our live events in the future!
