Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) The soundtrack for having a good time all the time!

Q) Who are some of your creative influences?

A) Musically – The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Oasis. I also love Kurt Russell’s acting performance as his role of Captain Ron in the movie with the same name.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Secrets.”

A) This song started out as a more disco track actually. I wrote it with the keyboard player of the KB Band, Kris Rodgers and our good buddy Jeff Beam. Once we went to the studio to finish the track it took a more 70’s rock n roll pub rock direction. We love hanging in pubs, watching European “football” and listening to dudes like Graham Parker singing some R’n’B.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you write the music before the lyrics?

A) Most of my knowledge about songwriting comes from our longtime friend and producer Dick Hazelwood. Dick always told me, “Don’t worry what comes first – music or lyrics, just get the song written. If you don’t do that, you won’t have songs at all.”

Q) “Secrets” is a stand-alone follow up to your 2020 album After Party. How did you know it was time to release this?

A) We’ve been putting out many singles since After Party, actually, so this is one of those. Basically, getting people excited for a new full length later this year.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It’s a great song, and the best thing about my fans is that they listen to good music, obviously, so I think they really connect to it in that way.

Q) The video behind secrets is a visual blend of old and new. How does the video play into the themes of the single?

A) The video is a mix of film noir, say no to drugs cartoons and some water park commercials from the 90’s. I think it’s a funky mix, which kinda goes along with the bass line of the track – funky!

Q)  Will fans be able to expect a full album or EP in the near future?

A) New album Rock N Roll Club out September 29th, 2023, baby! Wicked Cool Records. It’s gonna be unreal.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) My mate, Paul.

Q) You’re a part of social media. What makes it such a powerful way to connect with fans?

A) They stopped reading my quarterly newsletter gazette I used to send by USPS in bulk. So, honestly, social media is the best, fastest and easiest way to keep in touch with my fans.

Q) What would you like to say to fans and supporters of your music?

A) Respect and rock on! See you soon!!
