Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Artfully toeing the line between aggressive, catchy, and emotional.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Title Fight

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “911.”

A) Jacobi.e joined Londynne in writing the song when he showed up at Londynne’s house to find Londynne mumbling the lyrics and melody to a new song. Together they crafted a story about the feelings of judgment one gets when trying to express who they are. It’s about people sounding the alarms and pointing fingers at you without an ounce of self-reflection.

Q) How did you come to work with Macca Wiles as a feature?

A) We met Macca through a mutual friend and collaborator Ben. Ben thought that we would be a good fit to work together, and we were able to get connected through Instagram. Once we met Macca in person, we all became great friends and found that we work incredibly well together.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) Whether they realize what the song is about or not, I think fans connect to the emotional energy and catchy lyrics.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) In the video we are playing in a talent show, performing against others and in front of judges. It’s a metaphor for the feeling an artist gets when being judged by the public eye, always pitted against others as if it were a competition for who’s better or more successful. We also play the judges in the video to show how harshly we judge ourselves, and to hold ourselves accountable for that as well.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) We typically start with a chord structure or guitar riff. Jacobi.e and Londynne both come from production and instrumental backgrounds so it can be more inspiring to write lyrics once the emotional tone of the song is set.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) For the vast majority of our music, Londynne and Jacobi.e produce it themselves. They’ve both been working as producers and writers in the music industry for around seven years and are extremely comfortable recording, engineering, and producing their own music.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes! We have an EP coming out in the near future, with a full-length album to follow later this year.

Q) You’ve performed at iconic places like El Cid, The Viper Room and The Mint. Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Our favorite venue to perform at so far has been The Viper Room. It’s such an incredibly iconic venue and the amounts of bands that we look up to that have performed there are amazing. We’re so fortunate to be a new part of the history of the venue and to continue to bring energetic crowds into the space.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) A band that would be a dream to collaborate with would be Paramore. Within the next year or so we’d love to collaborate with Lil Lotus, Magnolia Park, or YUNGBLUD.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

Londynne: I’ve been really into the two new Skrillex albums. I’ve been a huge fan of his art and production ever since I was a kid, and his new albums have given me so much inspiration as a producer to push myself and continue to grow.

Jacobi.e: Lush by Snail Mail because it’s extremely calming yet angst filled; it’s full of beautiful imperfections that make it incredibly special to me.

Josh: I’ve been listening to old Jimmy Eat World records a lot recently. They’ve been a huge influence on my writing process drum wise and I think they’re such a fundamental yet creative band in pop punk.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) If used authentically, social media allows you to genuinely connect with fans by showing off your everyday self. It allows your fans a chance to connect with the parts of your life that excite you and feel like they are growing with you. We’ve also been able to reach and impact people all around the world, continuously making new relationships with fans that wouldn’t have been possible without social media.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much to all of the people who have been early contributors to our growth. We wouldn’t have ever been able to start this journey without your support. Your words of encouragement always push us to continue. Even if you think our interactions are just surface level, we truly love taking the time to go through and connect with everyone who continues to reach out. We’ve made friends with our community, and I hope to see you all stick with us as we continue on our endeavors.
