Q) What are some of the recent projects that you have coming up?

A) I think the main one would be “How to Buy a Baby.” That’s coming out on Friday, August 23rd.

Q) Speaking of “How to Buy A Baby,” what can you tease is in store for Season 2?

A) Jane and Charlie (Marc Bendavid) are in for another hilarious unfortunate series of events. I think they’re in store for family members and friends giving them unnecessary advice and hilarity ensues on their next step to becoming parents.

Q) How did you prepare for the role and how important was it for you to portray Jane’s experience authentically?

A) I spent a lot of time with Wendy [Litner]. I think that was really important for me to be around Wendy, to spend time with her, because it’s her story and it’s her life that we are bringing to life on television. So, it was important to spend time with Wendy and meet her husband and kind of get a feel for their relationship and how it felt for them so we would be able to portray it and bring it to life. Authenticity and truthfully.

Q) The show concentrates on IVF (Vitro fertilization). What did you know about IVF before taking on the role?

A) I only knew a little about IVF and now I feel like I’m a pro and know a lot, even though I’m sure there’s a lot more to learn. I didn’t know much about it then. I sat down with Wendy and we really got into it and talked about it. I can’t believe how it’s not talked about more and normalized more. I’m so happy that we can do that – that we can do that for people and maybe give them a small education on what it’s like.

Q) How is your character Jane different from all the other characters you’ve had in the past?

A) Well, Jane is not a villain nor is she bitchy-like, which is a lot of my lovely characters I’ve gotten to play in the past. Jane is a normal woman trying to make to make her way in the world. I really love that about her – she’s just a normal person with a normal relationship, just a human trying to make her way.

Q) What do you love about working with your costar Marc Bendavid?

A) Oh, what don’t I love about working with Marc Bendavid? He’s very handsome and he’s super talented and lovely. He’s easy to work with and easy to play around. He’s always up for anything I think that makes both of our jobs easy. We trust each other and we can play with whatever we got.

Q) There’s so much humor and heartfelt moments in “How to Buy a Baby.” How do you think the show continues to balance the two with such a heavy topic?

A) You can’t approach something heavy and not have a little bit of humor. I think a lot of peoples’ coping mechanisms are humor and I know that for Wendy and her husband that was their coping mechanism. So, we just wanted to be truthful to their story and also, it’s a comedy. If we didn’t have any humor it would just be a really sad hour web show.

Q) You mentioned that comedy helps as a coping mechanism do you feel it’s important for people to see the lighthearted moments while dealing with tough situations?

A) Yeah, I think what’s really important that the partnership between Charlie and Jane and how even though there is this really crazy and unfortunate situation they still have each other and they can laugh about what’s going on instead of maybe crying about it. They have each other and they are in a partnership with each other.

Q) What has been some of your favorite moments from working on “How to Buy a Baby?”

A) Favorite moments…In season two Charlie and Jane have a dog. We have a little wiener dog named Peppy and we had him throughout the shoot and it was really fun to add a new member to the family. That was really great. I just love Wendy being on set because she’s so complimentary. So, any time Wendy is on set it’s a highlight which is every day.

Q) You’re apart of social media. Do you enjoy seeing all the instant feedback from the episodes?

A) Yeah! I’m really lucky that the people who follow me are really positive humans. I feel that a lot of them have been touched by the show and they tell me about it online and it makes me so happy that it’s reaching them and making them feel something. That’s really what we’re aiming for.

Q) What do you hope viewers take away from Season Two of the show?

A) A sense that if you’re going through the same thing you’re not alone and that there are people going through it as well and there’s always people to talk to about it. That they can find comfort in a web series that stands out to the specific challenges that they’re going through.

Q) Fans of “Wynonna Earp” loved your arc on the series. What did you take away from your time working on the show?

A) Oh my Goodness! I didn’t know a hundred percent what I was getting myself into. I am blown away and flabbergasted by Earpers who are inclusive, wonderful and amazing being around them and spending time with them and seeing how everyone is together. As for what I took away: knowledge, friends, getting to meet people from all around the world and getting to hear their stories. The fandom is so much more than the show and I find it so fascinating and wonderful to be around. So, I think that’s what I’ve taken away from it the positivity and inclusivity and awesomeness.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans or that you’d like them to know?

A) I want to thank them for being fans in the first place. I feel really connected to all of them and it means a lot that they want to watch what I do and enjoy what I do because that’s the point of what I do. And it makes me feel really good that people care and want to know more and follow me. If I can make somebody smile from my silly dance moves then that’s great.
