Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change’ has come to South Florida! Fans of the original Menopause the Musical are certainly going to want to snag some seats to see the hilarious and touching look into this fact of life for females. This musical iteration finds four friends on the high seas as they discuss struggle and bond over this condition. With a new soundtrack packed with parodies of famed 70’s, 80’s and 90’s songs, all those who attend will appreciate the love and laughter showcased.

Five years have passed since our quartet met by chance in a department store. Still very much bonded by “the change,” the ladies decide to head out on a cruise. If you thought dealing with hot flashes and mood swings were hard on land, try being out to sea! These sisters-by-choice lean on one another and remind us that no matter what you’re dealing with your friends have your back. Stars LaDonna Burns, Kimberly Ann Harris, Katie Karel and Nancy Slusser excel in their roles and really do justice to this magical musical.

Major props also go out to director Seth Greenleaf (I know, can you believe a man created this incredible look at menopause?!) for bringing out the best in this talented cast. Additional applause goes out to Choreographer Jonathan Stahl for making the dance performances exceptional. To quote our reporter that watched this show, “We loved everything! All the characters are excellent!” She also made sure to note that it was easy to hear the actors talk and sing.

Mixing humor surrounding hot flashes, mood swings and the many effects of this transformation, Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change’ is a wonderful worthwhile watch. Be sure to bring your best gal pals to see this special performance.
