Christy (Anna Faris) arrives home looking really tired and it feels relieved when seeing that no one else is in there. As soon as she throws herself on the couch and tries to rest, Adam (William Fichtner) and Bonnie (Allison Janney) enter the place while arguing with each other. The duo has returned from a couples dinner and it seems that didn’t go that well for them as Bonnie assures that Adam completely spoiled it by “sitting there like a lump.” Christy is intrigued about why is so important for her to do these kinds of activities and her mother tells her that this is the kind of things that married couples usually do. Christy offers herself to go out with them the next time, but they don’t seem to be so convinced by the suggestion.

At the bistro Bonnie shares her unfortunate and disastrous dinner experience with the other girls saying that she waited so long to get married and now she wants the whole “marriage package.” For Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) couple friends’ activities did not provide her with a good experience so she doesn’t like them so much and decides to share about something that happened with her husband at the time. Jill (Jaime Pressly) suggests that maybe her and Andy (Will Sasso) could go out with them as a couple since she is the only one of their group who has a boyfriend. Tammy (Kristen Johnston) says that if she doesn’t have one it is only because she is picky and Marjorie retorts by saying that maybe she is “a little too picky.” So, Tammy says that she won’t date the other woman’s widow friend and Christy says that she won’t have a problem with taking him instead. Wendy (Beth Hall) says that she is so desperate to get a boyfriend that she hit on her Sparkletts guy, but it didn’t go well at all and now she cannot have water anymore. Bonnie brings the originally subject back to the table and says that maybe Andy and Jill can be fun, so she agrees on hanging out with them.

When they are getting ready to pay the bill Christy goes to the restroom followed by Tammy and they promise to pay their part as soon as they return. As Christy is about to enter the restroom Tammy stops her telling that she doesn’t want to go, she just wants to talk to her about how living with Marjorie is driving her crazy. She says that recently Marjorie freaked out when Tammy accidentally threw the coupons in the garbage and she also refers to her as cheap and controlling. She just cannot stand it anymore. Christy tells her that for her it is no different while living with her mother and suggests her to save some money and go live on her own. Tammy assures that due to her work she has managed to save enough money so she will. Right that moment Bonnie opens the door violently and tells them they need to go back and pay their part of the bill.

The day has finally arrived so Adam, Bonnie, Jill and Andy are gathered together at their house. Adam and Andy are grilling some meat, having a wonderful time together like two kids on a playground while Bonnie and Jill watch them from afar. Jill appreciates the break they are having from Andy’s cop friends since she thinks they are no fun to hang out with anymore.

Later that day Andy and Adam, who are now looking visibly drunk, start to talk about random things while doing what they call the “Predator handshake.” Once again Jill and Bonnie watch them from afar wondering if they use to look that stupid when they were drunk back in the day. Andy suggests Jill to help him fire up their Jacuzzi and Adam intends to say the same to Bonnie, but he only manages to mumble certain words. The blonde is not willing to go naked in front of them, but it is clear that her friend Bonnie has a different kind of idea as she is already undressing herself and running towards the Jacuzzi.

The next day Marjorie expresses her appreciation to Tammy on sharing her experience to the group but complains about that she didn’t respect the time she was given to do it. Tammy approaches to Christy and tells her that she has found an apartment but needs to go see it as soon as possible or she’ll lose it but before, she needs to tell Marjorie about it. The woman is so scared to tell her about she’s moving out that she asks for Christy’s help and they agree to take Marjorie for lunch and throw the news at her. In the meantime, at the other side of the room, Bonnie tries to set up another hang out with Jill at her vacation place, but the woman doesn’t seem to be willing to go out with them again.

Bonnie arrives at her place and tells Adam that is because of him that Andy and Jill don’t want to go out with them anymore, but the man refuses to believe it. He sends a text to Andy and asks him for a beer and he immediately agrees. So, his conclusion is that the real problem is actually Bonnie.

Christy and Marjorie arrive at Tammy’s work. Marjorie approaches to one of the clerks and asks if there is a job opportunity. Christy overhears so the woman ends up confessing that she’s been having some financial problems. She says that if it wasn’t for Tammy paying the rent she might have lost the house by now.

Right that moment Tammy shows up and asks them to go for lunch, but Christy does everything in her power to stop it from happening. Marjorie believes that she is doing that because of what she just told her and thinks she doesn’t have the money to pay for her own meal. Tammy understands the situation and agrees to cancel their plans.

Bonnie pays a visit to Jill trying to figure out why she hates her. Jill tells her that she doesn’t and that the real reason she didn’t want to hang out anymore was because of Adam. So, Bonnie dances around like crazy, happy to know that she was not the reason why Jill didn’t want to see them. Jill explains that even though Adam is a great guy she didn’t like to see her boyfriend drinking like that in front of her. It seems that she felt uncomfortable about it and realized that it’s something she doesn’t want for her life anymore. Bonnie tries to comfort her by saying that she understands the situation and that she only needs to do what is actually right for her as there’s nothing wrong with that.

In the other hand, Marjorie is sharing some time with Christy and Tammy while seating on a couch at Tammy’s work. They are eating some of the sample snacks. A woman (Parisa Fakhri) shows up and tries to take some snacks from them but they won’t let her. Marjorie expresses how humiliating it is for her to find herself in her current situation and how scared she is of losing her house and cats. Tammy says that she doesn’t have to worry about that because they are roommates for life. Christy tries to use some of Marjorie’s own words to cheer her up and also saying that she will never be alone because now she has them to support her through everything.

Bonnie returns home and finds Adam watching the TV. She smiles devilishly and tells him that he is actually the reason why Jill and Andy don’t hang out with them anymore. She leaves without any further explanation.

Andy is happily seasoning some meat he plans to grill when Jill walks in and asks him for a moment to talk. The man hesitates, but accepts nonetheless. Jill says that the night when Adam and Bonnie were there she felt uncomfortable by his drinking and realized that is not something she wants in her life anymore as she is striving to be sober. Andy apologizes but Jill explains that she doesn’t want to kiss him and taste beer. So, she thinks the best thing for them is to breakup. Andy suggests that maybe the other solution is for him to stop drinking. Jill gets absolutely happy to know that they don’t have to breakup as he is willing to do that for her.

Later, while Christy is at the restroom, Tammy leans at the door while staring at her and sharing that even though she loves Marjorie and will be there to support her she still wakes up in the middle of the night when dreaming that she has thrown Marjorie’s coupons to the garbage again. And Christy also ends up confessing that is pretty easy to get used to being watched while in the restroom.
